That sucks Seth. Heal up quick! I'm not going to be able to go this week, but starting next week I may be making a trip on a few Fridays.

hmm...seeing how my friends will probably bitch out of skiing and I'm finally not interning, I might be able to come on Friday
now...how in God's name do you start a 2-stroke that's sat 2-months after your friend rode it/didn't maintain it?
got anything else?
I made a fresh batch of 32:1 2-stroke mix, I put in a new spark plug (old one came out black and wet), and pulled the carb off cleaned the outside and inside by hand, and inspected the jets and passageways for clearance:
main jet (170):
pilot jet (155):
main jet passageway (clear all the way through)
pilot jet passageway (clear all the way to the top, where it branches to the front and rear of the carb)
float bowl (no sludge):
outside:
what's next?
I was thinking:
-pull plug, ground, and test spark
-if good, remove plug, place a few drops of 2-stroke mix in cylinder, try kicking over
-if no luck, try spraying "quick start" into carb and kicking over
-if no luck, try warming the engine block with space heater and repeat steps 2 & 3
-if no luck, start tearing down the top end
the XR200R on the other hand starts and (thanks to cold weather and frozen ground) will lift the front wheel through 2nd and into 3rd gear...but I'd rather ride an MX bike on an MX track!

I can't make tomorrow. Busy working on a project/job/contract. Need that paper! Doubt I can do Friday either.
ah vell. get there soon enough.
Boston --> San Diego
We'll be there tomorrow.
Maybe more.
Im probably not going to make it If I do I wont have any premix with me. We have a 426 I need to beat within an inch of its life on the track. I spent some time on it today and couldnt get it going for more then a few seconds. I need to pull the carb and clean it good. The 125 is not really an option for MX with the woods suspension.
that's ok, looks like everyone's out anyhow
but if anyone changes their mind, PM me!
