Great day. The track was almost too smooth. My bike was on the last hour of a top end, and pulling like a freight train. It's my last "A-kit" piston and I'm kinda bummed because it was pulling through the sand like a 250.

Anyway, I think Clinton just lapped the whole time.

I am REALLY happy with my Kenda Millville's now, and will buy them again. I also figured out (thanks to Pete) that my forks need to be bled after every session or two. I let some air out and they were much more compliant.

Anyway, happy thursday.

goodTimes! what a perfect day. sorry i had to jam up and back quick but felt good to just lap the track, focusing through sand... barely doubled anything, just working on stamina and corners a bit. new layout is so fun.

ugh, someone is coming to check out my bike tonight apparently with cash so if its sold I am not sure I can buy my new bike and get it going by the morning If my bike isn't sold I should be there though, I'll post back tonight or tomorrow morning.

thanks for the reminder, i would have forgotten again. worked out pretty good after some adjustment. think i need a little more fine tuning, felt like the back of my helmet was bumping into it when going down hill and looking forward... def not in the way though so maybe just need to get used to it.

good to see you guys, had a great time as always! Justin, it was super fun to mix it up a bit, wish you didnt run out of gas, that last session was our 'main event' hahaaa

Post mortem to come. The clacking noise wasn't something I expected to hear. I did notice that my filter didn't seat properly on thursday. I might have ingested too much dirt. I'm gonna strip it down tonight to make a plan to get her rebuilt for sunday...

Well, Piston=fine, cylinder=fine, Small end bearing=fine. that leaves the big end bearing. I've never felt one that has failed, but I assume mine is gone. THere's really no up and down play, but if I take the smallend and wag it, it can rock side to side a bit. THe crank spins free at times and binds at times.

I have the motor out and will take it to a local shop to see if he can rebuild it by friday. I'm nit really sure as parts will need to be ordered.

hmm, good the top-end is OK... hope its just parts that need to be replaced.

not that its related but my flywheel sprocket shaft nut came loose on the Buell and made an AWFUL knocking/clanking... simple retorque fixed it forever.

Hope it works out Paul. You were flying out there. I love a game of cat and mouse, but it's pointless with you. It's more like turtle and hare.
Now CLINTON...THAT was cat and mouse fun. Back and forth lead changes for 3 laps - what a ball. You gotta teach me that wicked tight corner work - you stick those turns remarkably.
And, uh...yeah, remember to check your gas before your final session. Had I been setting up a jump, that could've been bad news.
