That table at 207 isn't 120. Its maaaaaybe 100 and marginally faster to jump it vs step on/step off. And if you really want to be humbled, watch a 16 year old girl on a 250f launch it. You guys still need to make the trip up to Hemonds.Originally Posted by Paul_E_D

Oh its big. I know I'm never going to clear it. The biggest problem with the one at 207 is that the landing is short. You have to hit it perfectly or its a really bad landing. I've seen a handful of people do it but I've also seen some major fast guys not even attempt it. Hemonds has a 90 ft table (end of takeoff to the knuckle) that you can go a lot farther (we measured Brit at 130) with no problem. Well, as long as you can stop for the corner it's not a problem.

Have you ridden the 'new' Hemonds track that opened a couple years ago? I've run the old one which was big, fast, and not overly technical on a Honda 70, only seen vids of the new one and it looks like a blast.
(In other news, WR250 guy appears to be firm at $800... so no mx machine for me yet...)
Actually it was the small kicker to a short table top in back, before you hit the s curve with two sets of lines through it? I still don't have the layout memorized in my head very well, but I know it was that kicker/tabletop combo that I really shouldn't be chickening out on.
ya from what I remember from last year no way that is 120ft

Wait, you're not supposed to just roll up and down that one? Crap!
I'll be there tomorrow and try and clear it

Yeah I've only ridden the new track at Hemonds. Unfuckingbelieveable track. Big jumps but only one or two that even I wasn't comfortable hitting WFO. And that's what you are on that track a good portion. Fast, fun. IMO waaaaay more fun than 207. By far my favorite track.Originally Posted by Kurlon

Its basically a national-caliber track. Their goal is actually to host a national, so yeah, its good for experts. Its a lot of fun for just about every skill level as most of the jumps are tables with huge landings so us slow kids can come up short or just clear them while the fast guys scrub them or just let it fly.

I think the only way to settle this is a double header weekend, MX207 one day, Hemonds the next...
This is from their websiite
So does this mean now its only Thursday that are practices? And that April 17th comment referred to only Saturdays ?2010 PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
The track opens for practice Thursday March 18th weather permitting.
Last practice of the season is Saturday October 2nd.
We will be open to the public on a regular basis Thursday of each week
(Noon - 7pm) & each Saturday in March & April (11 - 5pm) up to April 17th, that will be the last Sat. practice.
2009 RMZ450
Looking at their posted schedule, there are tons of weekends 'open' which I'm hoping means they'll be open?
They usually aren't open weekends. I'm all for a back-to-back midweek though.
