neck roll

I just bought an EVS neck roll. The type that attaches to you chest protector. It looks like a good design, and is much firmer and more streamlined than the foam ones for carting. May not be the most protection, but for 30 bucks, it seems like a no brainer.

Does it restrict your non-neck breaking movement much?

I'm at work and haven't fitted it up yet. It is much lower profile than the Leatt brace though, and should allow plenty of movement... I'll report back.

Just installed it. Pretty slick. No restriction of movement. It would seem to protect you most from a side to side hyperflexion injury. It would likely slow movement fore and aft some as well.

yeah, i've been meaning to pick up a foam type neck roll as well.

It installs really well. Pop 3 plastic rivets out of the chest protector and replace with bolthead threaded style rivets that attach the peice to the protector.

I have used it for a year. It is not the Leatt, but I think it is the best neck roll out there. It velcrows in the front so it gives some protection against front flex where the others are open.
It will definaltly help your collarbone. IMO.
I got a little neck burn this weekend after12 hours of sweaty riding.

I saw a few neck rolls at the Americade event. Of coarse they were
on 400lb Goldwingers, made out of skin and really only there to keep the pigs from snapping their necks while consuming copius amounts of Bratwurst and cheesy fries. Functional none the less...

Ha! I wore the EVS last night for the first time. Didn't even notice it was there. I did Auger into the sand head first and rang my bell pretty good. That's the first time I've ever really hit my head in a crash... I was glad I had it on!
