can't wait to see how they craft the loops, the scrambles and enduro loops are always great.

^ damn, that sounds fun. i really need to plate the RR to expand access.

rode the hare scramble loop on Sunday, fun stuff. nice way to patch the lower, non-tech together. we ride most it in the opposite direction. i'm assuming NETRA will use this or a flavor of for one of the Jack Frost tests.

Do I need a plate for this thing?

Doubtful. It's not like a regular Enduro with connector sections.

nope! no plate or MA ORV reg needed.
you should join, the format is super fun and laid back. in a nutshell: 3 different 'tests' (cross, enduro, extreme), 3 laps each for a total of 9 laps. complete them within a ~1.5-2hr time block in any order but consecutive. e.g. cross test x3 in a row = no go. distance and lap times are short for each test... hence, SPRINT. don't sweat the 'extreme' label, kids race these loops as well. the tests are more like 1 grass/flow, 2 woods, 3 tech woods.

can't you just swap the EE's over to the CRF? no reason you couldn't run that bike. you've ridden HVD so you know what the trails are like, it's not Erzberg. shit, you could just run the cross and woods test to avoid anything technical if you wanted too. you won't get fully scored but if you don't care, the loops are good fun.

Are you able to use a combination of throttle and clutch slip to get moving? If so, congratulations, it's 'good enough'![]()
Some of the two strokes I've ridden did not like to stay running in gear (due to clutch drag?), hence the two-stroke throttle blip. And they didn't like to start in gear because of it too. I know my brother's YZ125, if I came to a stop in gear and didn't keep blip the throttle, it'll die pretty quickly. I've heard people say that's normal, I've also seen some claim it can be fixed. But no one seems to care that much - just blip the throttle and ride it.

I ended up doing the kitchen sink, which I shouldn't've -- I should have fixed one thing at a time and verified that that one thing now worked. Instead...
I put in new wave spring (Rekluse), new billet clutch basket (Barnett), new steel clutch drive plates (Rekluse), new clutch friction plates (KTM), new tranny oil (Motorex), new clutch master cylinder rebuild kit (KTM) and a new clutch slave cylinder o-ring (KTM).

I suggest you ride it around some and get it good and hot and see how everything beds in.

Before I fucked with rebuilt it all, it would drag the clutch slightly like all KTMs do. Since I rebuilt it, as soon as you put it in gear it just goes WHAM! and stalls. It's not dragging, it's like the clutch isn't disengaging at all. If I rev it and then put it in gear, it's liable to send me through my garage ceiling!

You should pull it outside then. CO kills, anyways.

Foot ready on the rear brake, thumb on the kill switch. Has it been sitting for a little while? Almost sounds like a stuck clutch that needs a little action. When off, can it be put in gear, pull the clutch in and push it down the drive way without hearing/feeling the motor turn?

i forgot about the Rekluse angle, not familiar with that stuff at all but... sitting for months with freshly oiled plates and full of oil? or just sitting before any oil?
FWIW, and i dont think it has anything to do with any of this but, my Ape and Husky's hated Motorex syn. terrible clutch feel and weird groaning. tried it in all three bikes, no dice.
