    Perris MX in Cali

Quick video of riding at Perris Raceway in Perris CA. Second time riding there and while I felt like shit, I did clear the 4 'big' jumps for the first time. That's enough for me!

Thought you homies would enjoy seeing a West Coast track with some East Coast tunes.

Mint day. Got there 2pm, closed at 4pm. Track was pretty quiet so got plenty of riding in. Setting sun kind of fucks with you in some corners (one jump is blinding, can't see shit). 70-75. Love it.

I'm floored at the hoses across the track. Sure, they're in spots where most people are airborne... but what if I showed up?

Dude it's a dirtbike with 12" of suspension. If a hose takes you down, then the track workers will probably spray you down for good measure!

Dude, its Kurlon, he'd probably find a way to ride a chrome stretched out Busa out there, or something else wildly inappropriate.

Cool vid, bro. I'd be happy just clearing the little jumps!

fixed...I'm 59 miles from that track...you come ride it when you're ready...and same goes for all you other dirty riding NESRians!

once this stupid state finally stops taking their sweet ass time letting me get licensed, I'll get my own place, 2 MX bikes, 1 motard, a quad, a pickup truck to haul that shit, and a place for you guys to crash. It's about 4-1/2 hours from Vegas, and one hour from the best canyon riding twisties you've seen in your life.

Alex, we'll do another NESR rise of the dirt cycles out here in SoCal when all of the above finally happens!

oh yeah, and don't be misled by this weather...most "winter" days in CA are in the low 50's/high 40's at night and low 60's during the day...only the past couple days (within the last month) have been in the 70's and 80's.

All last winter was 70'ish at my house in Mission Viejo and 75'ish in Corona where I work. Every trackday we did over winter at Chuckwalla was 70-85 all winter long. Does rain more though (compared to not raining at all normally)

Where you living in Socal? I'm up to ride whenever I'm around.

Nice Alex, those are some big tables. They appear to have some straight, smoothish runup, but I know it's hard to tell on vid how dicey any big jump is. I wouldn't want to crash on any of those...

    Re: Perris MX in Cali

^ Paul, you'll find out how dicey the jumps are when you come too...the moment I get the bikes and you're on vacation, you're coming here.

What kind of backup bike should I start looking for, for you guys to ride? 250F? I figure 3 bikes should do the trick: 1 pure MX, 1 supermoto/street titled, and 1 dual sport w' dirt wheels and SM wheels...so whoever comes to visit can ride trails or street if you're patient enough to swap the rims

Alex: honestly, I'm all over the place, lol...I've actually been floating from San Clemente to Brea as a graduate intern...and surprisingly enough, MV is where I'm tied to. So yeah...I have no excuse for not hittin' you up...

btw - have you ridden the other places? I did a quick google and saw:

Wildomar OHV trails within 1-1/2 hours from my place (and an hour for you)

supermoto racing in riverside (about an hour for both of us)!

and...4 MX tracks, 4 dual sport spots, and 1 flat track...all within 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive!

we'll ride them all, right after my boards are done!

no...only if you're making a healthy six figures (which I am not!)...otherwise, just come visit. Heck the number of times you visit in a year, is probably the same number of times I'd visit any of those tracks...6 tracks? I doubt I'd do more than 1-2 times/year.

But ritchie: last time we both went to an MX track, IIRC, you looooove them 2-smokes MX bikes, right?

    Paul: time, in time...

Seth: sail your ass out here...I hear there's some rad downhill too

Alex: do moar riding, and tell me which ones are the best

Ha true. Doubt I could afford my house out in cali, even if I saved for the next 20 years. But having tracks around would be nice. Only 1 MX track within 2 hours here, and 1 set of public trails. And no supermoto
And I HATE 2 strokes, mainly since I cant ride them.

Holy shit. Check Deano's laps at Perris. Bastard looks like he's in fast-forward! SIICK

    http://motocross.transworld.net/1000...met-cam-video/

I love how pretty much everytime you go riding MX here you're sharing the track with some pro or other. MX mecca out here. Pretty surreal. Was riding Pala the other week and Ronnie Renner (FMX Star) hit this HUGE double in front of me (I rolled it) while busting out a mega whip. I almost rode of the track staring at him up there.
