It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Just got back. HOLY FUCK I love this bike. The suspension is awesome, the power is spot on. Kind of flat to describe it. It just hooks up and puts the power down instead of spinning up the tire. It flies. Gonna kill myself on this one. It's quite different from the CRF, and actually fun to ride in the woods.

The only thing i don't like is the front brake feels like cah cah, and the springs are rather soft for my fat ass. Kates can fix the spring rates but I don't know what to do about the front brake. it just has no feel to it.

    KTM yeah dood.

Crappy front brake feel is common on most KTM's. I got mine feeling MUCH better with the zip tie trick. While the bike is sitting all day while you're at work, zip tie the brake lever tight to the bar and walk away. Before you go for your next ride, snip the tie and pull the lever a few times and it'll feel a lot better

They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

Going to play on my new toy

I went out to goof around today. Had to skirt the flooded areas where I normally practice, but it led me to try some sweet new jumps.

The dike behind my house has some incredible features to it. Especially where dirt roads intersect with the dike. They are basically doubles that you don't want to come up short on. Very steep ramps with steep backs. You only need to clear the 10 foot width of the dike, but you need to hit the landing ramp just right, or things could go pear shaped fast.

Anyway, I got them pretty dialed in. Practiced some 2nd to 3rd gear wheelies, brakes slides, full lock turns, standing slalom, etc. I can't wait for the first real ride.

Hey, has anybody been to that track up near Iglu's yet this year?

    It's how I roll........

It comes with a pretty good rotor, just get the pads for now and bleed the brakes often.

Thanks R7 I will try that trick.

The feel sucks. I almost ended up on my ass a few times cuz you can't tell how much it;s grabbing till the tire is slipping.

How's the tire? Often a quick look at the front's knobs isn't good enough -- the side knobs wear quickly, while the centers will look mint.

Tires are fine. I guess I'm just used to nice brake feel. maybe a fluid change and a new set of pads will make it feel better.

Oh and BTW KTM fuckin rules. I don't know why I haven't listened long agi and bought a KTM for the woods. While the japs own the MX scene KTM owns the woods scene. This bike was made for the woods. The engine is sick sick sick. It's got no real power band to speak of. Lug it around in secind just about to a stall hit the gas and it sort of just goes. It's like an electric engine. It doesn't spint the tire all up it just goes, and goes and goes. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!
