When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I used the living shit out of my electric starter yesterday.
May she please never fail me.
I also learned trying to bump start the thing in dirt is a horrible idea.
I've never held firm to the no throttle on a 4T theory. Now, I'll start with it closed for the first few kicks... but I'll open it WFO for a stab if it gives me indications that it wants it. I actually use the same technique with my 2T.
I lurk in and sometimes post in a Northern New England chatter thread over on ADVRider. Some weeks ago there was a guy posting up video of himself doing those trails on a KTM 950 Adventure. At the time I thought "cool". Now that I know better I'm thinking "holy shit!".
Seems like an awfully big bike for such tight quarters.
Bubb's ya sore today? My thighs are usually screaming

I feel great. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Now if I can get up off my ass, I have 2 cords of firewood to move today.
That's the thing, he was on Basset Mill and some single track I know I didn't go anywhere near. One video has him burying the nose in some mud that would make me cry. Once he gets the machine upright he just drops it in gear and walks it out. Stunning contraption.

Those pumpkins are pretty amazing, no matter what the size. The 950 Adventure is a whale of a dirt bike, but a dirt bike just the same. The trail was the river loop that he did, and if I'm not mistaken, the dude rode it to Clough from Derry. Hats off to him, big set of balls with that pig out there.
I am back among the living, yesterday was definitely a couch day. Some dirt antics and alcohol induced debauchery made for a great Sat and a sore Sunday. My lawn dart impression yield some sore ribs, shoulder and a nice scratch on my nose. Too bad we didn't get go-pro of that, it would have be spectacular, had to be my fastest get off yet.
Great to meet some new faces and older face with new dirt whip (Oxx). River loop was a blast and caught up with the group just in time to loop the pumpkin into the woods. Good times, can't wait to do it again.
