Swapped my KTM back to the knobbies last night, made sure I could successfully swing a leg over it. Good to go.

Being totally unfamiliar with this place, and having left the smaller SX gas tank on...is this the type of location where loops lead back to the parking area from time to time?

Yes, you shouldn't have any problems with range.

Here's a map, it has a bunch of small loops that can be strung together into bigger loops.

I feel some of you are going to be underwhelmed with our beloved Clough. The place isn't that big.

    Re: Pre-banquet ride

One word of caution. Ray Road is pretty much the only way to get into the parking area. The map Roland posted is somewhat misleading as it doesn't seem to indicate that the bridge on Windslow Road is closed and not passible. Don't go that way.

13 to 77 to Ray Road. Do that.

That's fine; it's better than anything we have in CT.

Just saying I doubt anyone is going to run out of fuel (assuming they top off in the lot) or get lost (although I've heard stories) or not get their fill of riding because they showed up at 9AM.

    Re: Pre-banquet ride

As Colin says, it isn't that big but the terrain is varied and in some places challenging which makes it pretty interesting to ride. The trails can also change from day to day depending on the amount of traffic. Last weekend a lot of quad traffic and things could be different this weekend.

Any way you slice it, it should be a good time.

    Re: Pre-banquet ride

High of maybe 40-F tomorrow. Something tells me there won't be much for quad traffic. It's no fun when mother nature forces you to actually want to stay dry.

I've been wrong before. It's rare though.

    I'm loaded up 'n ready.

I'm disturbed that Carsick has that image on deck to post at will.

I also had a helluva time.

I'm sure it was marginally more rugged than loudon, but you all still ride woods like a bunch of pansies. Except jc, he does man shit.
