I meant like when the weather warms up and stuff... tho if I end up borrowing those rims/tires 6 mentioned thats an option too. Rims off an 01 should fit an 04 right?

Ryan, if you put some new knobs on, you can ride dirt indoors with us at mototow. I might be going back this weekend.

Yea thanks again for those boots man, I cleaned them up and they're actually in pretty good shape! I meant to shoot you a PM, we'll definitely have to hook up at some point.

yeah Ryan truth be told I was forced to get em by my parents who wanted me to be safe. so i said if i have to get boots then i dont want cheapos. I had cheapos for when i used to ride my dirtbike and i crushed my big toe so bad that i havent been able to bend it since that day, its been over 10 years now...

so i got the boots as a birthday present for riding my quad and wore them no more than 5 or 6 times and it was so hard to shift with the damn things on that i just stopped wearing them.

funny story about why they were so dirty,

the last time i did wore em i was with a buddy of mine and we decided to see how far we could go down the powerlines but not following the normal trails, making our own. well we got to a swamp and i got about half way through and got stuck in mud up to the exhaust. when i turned around i see my buddy sitting there at the edge of the swamp laughing his ass off.... so i spent a good amount of time getting my quad out in mud that was just pouring into my boots.

it took us about 45 minutes to get my quad out of the swamp, even though he thought it was funny he still jumped it to help me out.... but yeah never underestimate the depth of mud, when I first started going through it was pretty solid with just a little water over the top but i hit a really deep spot and my quad was just sucked into the mud like quick sand... it was a good laugh later but at the time nothing sucks more than having to push a quad that is just flining mud in your face cuz it is literally stuck in the mud. the tires acted like suction cups and the only way to free it was have my buddy sit on the quad and give it gas while i shaked it back and forth enough to free up some room then lifted the rear tires out of the water and we had to do this foot by foot. as soon as we would get it unstuck and think we were finally done it would sink again and by the end of it i was covered from head to toe is smelly ass swamp mud. shit i was cleaning it out of my hair for days

well way OT there. I hope you can put em to good use.

once the weather starts getting warmer give me a call and we can rip up the trails.... I hope to have my quad running and alicias dirtbike running within the next couple months.

    Keith

nice, as far as the stalling, it might be as simple as the idle adjustment screw on the carb

I've been looking at it, its tempting haha. Saturday was my first time ever really "riding" a dirt bike in general... I've ridden them some, around the pits, around a few yards, etc.

    we'll see I suppose... hmm

    Ryan,
If you want to moto, go to a track on a practice day and get used to it.
If woods are your thing try a Turkey run first.
No pressure to kill yourself, more than you will apply yourself.
    Enjoy,
    OT
