So much for my rainy day project

Weather is a joke, rained all day again today and they were calling for clouds and sun today

Yeah, it sucks but the part has been ordered and has a reasonable price tag so it's no big deal i guess. Obviously no Tuesday evening practice this week for me

Now'd be a good time to install a z-Start? It's weird having no clutch lever, but it's cool being able to slam rear brakes on and then wick it WFO without touching the clutch.

A z-start clutch? for 500 bucks?? All i'm looking for here is a way to start the thing if the battery dies somewhere where i can't bump start it The clutch is my friend

Another fucked up thing i found out from the dealer last week, in order for the battery to recharge, the headlights have to be on They said Yamaha designed it that way for safety reasons... err why is there a on/off switch then

I have a bit more jet tweaking to do. What a pain in the ass! I have had those carbs off 100+ plus times but I wont be happy untill its just right. What sucks iis that I never had a banshee before to compare it too for adjustment

Just for kicks i checked prices on that inner clutch hub. A Hinson billet clutch hub retails for $298.95, i could get you one for $250.00. I was suprised to find that yamaha wants only $54.79 for a factory replacement hub. jon

I must have put down pressure rather than turning pressure on the ratchet while loosing the spring bolt. It was the second to last one i took off

Thanks for the offer Jon but i'm not looking to upgrade the clutch assembly yet. I've never had a problem with the stocker and it works good
Yeah the factory part is not to expensive but it is also on backorder for who the fuck knows how long. Hello...ebay?

All i gots is some new jets, an old beat up stock skidplate, and a stock air intake snorkle. The jets have been sitting on my computer desk in a plastic baggy sence last time you asked me about them 190, 220, and 240 are the sizes i have. Then we have drill bits If i ever get my parts and my quad fixxed, we could do a day ride and fine tune your jetting

The OE yamaha part is on a 3 week backorder, so i said fuck it and ordered the GYT-R hub which is available and will be here wednesday. I got it for $200 at the dealer with a little haggling, big markup on these parts prices, ehh?

There it is, almost looks like it came that way from the factory

Still not a done project tho as i still don't have the clutch hub but once it comes in, it shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour to install it and put the fluids back in the bike.
I also have some modifacations to do to the plastics and rear brake resivour so i can get a full kick out of it
