First ride of the year today

Went out to HVD with my little brother today. Had the place to ourselves. Looks completely different than last year, they did A LOT of logging. There are a couple new obtsacles right after the first whoops section when you drop into the trail from the lot. Some big logs, that I sucked at going up and over. Got stuck on top of the smaller one and went over the handlebars twice trying to get up and over the bigger one. Guess I will need more practice at that.

Trails were overall in great shape. Much better than this time last year. We rode for a couple hours to shake the cobwebs out.
Will be headed back this Saturday.

Nothing like the first ride of the year! I went out once a few weeks ago and it was definitely sketchy, and have yet to make it back out since. Kept on thinking I would be fine and ride just as fast as before, but I ate a few trees doing so.

In my last semester of undergrad so projects/finals are owning my life right now, and to top it off, I'm purchasing a puppy this weekend, so I'm thinking I won't be out riding until may, both street and dirt

I took the street bike out a couple times, but it's just not nearly as much fun as sliding around, WOT, bouncing around bumps and hitting berms on a dirty bike...
