The track was killerWhen I first got there I was excited and nervous at the same time. After my first lap to check the place out, I was shitting bricks and was ready to go home!!! (In a way, I wish we did) At first all the jumps were kinda scary and I just roled them all but as time past and I got more laps in, I was able to clear some just fine and hit some others at a good clip with a rather rough landing
At first I could only handle 2 laps at a time before I couldn't even hang on, by our last session I was up to 5 laps pacing myself in some areas to save energy.
I'm going to be sore tomorrow for sure![]()
The people did a nice job getting this track together, 13 good jumps, a short woods section, flat and banked burms, and a killer all sand section that's full throttle and just hang on for the ride

Sorry, no pictures today![]()

I got all the gear and the bike so man I look like an experienced mx rider. But really all I can do is trail ride

Tom, clean the dust off it and bring it outDo you have a atv and/ or street plate for it?
I've only been to a few tracks, Uxbridge MX, a small track in Rhode Island that got shut down before it even got started.., another small track on private property in RI and the latest was Crow Hill MX.
I use my quad for the MX stuff and I'm going to start using (started today) the KTM for the dirty trails

Need to register both dirtbikes in MA and NH I mostly ride at my parents and NEVER get stoped, bothered or harrassed. Otherwise I ride localy here at home on power lines and old railroad beds, Holliston, Milford, Bellingham. Where are you located?
Einstein that is too funny, you reside in lovely "Dumbarton" sorry I like to tease my parents....................
It's not just Massholes as I saw in a later post. But I will admit my parents moved to Dunbarton well over 10 yrs ago so while riding my dirtbike around I found the trail system down the street from thier house. They live on 13 across from the store/gas station and the trails across from the store go through their property. Any way I always ride the power lines, but one day found the clough park army corp of engineers ride trails. I rode a section of it and was in awe at what I had "found". I rode up to an enviromental cop to ask about registration and such. You know he gave me a ticket and to top it off the honest dope I am I had full gear and no license or id of any type but I gave him all my true information. I have never rode there again I stay on the power line trails. Some of you may ride through their property as it is 50 acres, just to let you all know even though I brought my bulldozer and backhoe up one year and groomed the trails we had nothing to do with the "no wheeled vehicles" signs, that was the snowmobile guys. Wheeled vehicles are welcome, at least on our property.

I'm on the NEDB site and I can't say I'm a big fan of that club. Their general additude to other ORV users pretty much sucks, They would rather lose places to ride than join forces with other groups. I get disgusted pretty much every time I visit![]()

I hear yah, I just joined the other day just to post a message how they totally flamed this poor kid for asking a simple question on where to ride. I had to stick up for the poor kid.

Mark you ridden Crow Hill since? I rode it 2 months ago for the first (and only) time. Much like your experience. 2 laps.. pit in... 2 laps... pit in..
Thinking of hitting it up again soon.
Boston --> San Diego
I have not been back there sence. From what I've heard, they cut back on the grooming a bit so i'm thinking it'll be 1 lap, pit in instead of 2.. haha.
I wouldn't mind going to check it out again some Saturday though![]()

Yea I'd be down for that. Won't be back and around until after Laguna Seca however. See what shakes after that (LRRS very next weekend).Originally posted by R7

I rode Eric Wood's CRF250 the one time I rode there.. yea.. pretty damn rough and ungroomed track. Also I'd been off full-size dirtybikes for almost 10 years. I just left the thing in 3rd (or 4th?) and lugged it around the track. Nice thing with the 4-stroker is I *could* do that. Especially that back sand section.. my god, just tried to survive in there!
Now I'm on a 02 CR125 and it's going to be very different riding that there, especially in the sand. However, I'm a *wee* bit better now, after riding a few more times, than I was then. So I'm hoping it evens out in the wash. I really dig the hardpack sections and jumps, but the sand is just mean spirited.

Howabout a tentative date of July 22?
The next possible chance I have at a Saturday is not until August 26th![]()
Yamaha
I'll try a MX track. i never have before. Isn't that a race date though?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
July 22nd Saturday - I'll be at MotoGP
July 29th Saturday - Be at LRRS
So to answer your question Jay, no, the 22nd isn't a Loudon weekend.

ashley needs to be left at home sleeping and you need to take the MX bike to the MX track. I know for a fact it takes less than a hour to convert that YZ back to a dirt weaponOriginally posted by oreo_n2

They don't want you there with some loud ass pipe, though your stock YZ will be fine!!! Go figureI wouldn't be worried about noise there, a very close friend of the owner will have the loudest bike by far there so it must be "tollerated"

You need $20 and some riding gear to ride the track...that is all

Remember this thread and date was started 1 year ago, I have no plans of going on 7/30 eitherOriginally posted by hessogood
