i chose baby smoothbut my stock seats are kinda smooth gripper-ish. too much grip and i cant slide around without losing my pants
Beta 200RR
My thoughts exactly. The 426 had a smooth seat and it wore me out from having to hold on that much more. The 250 has gripper all the way around and its such a big improvement. I will agree that it does start to pull your pants down if you don't get your butt off the seat when sliding around.
all true... guess i haven't ridden with a true 'traditional' seat in a long time. when i think 'gripper' i think of the super textured/rubbery stuff, some are even crazy ribbed now. not sure i'd like that. i do stand as much as possible, would be interesting to try a side gripper-style. WR needs a new cover soon, it's torn.

Big bikes need a gripper seat. Grahm's motard nearly ripped my arms out and I couldn't keep my ass on it, everything else dirt or supermoto whatever is on it works fine.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
dirt bikes have seats?
aren't the pegs and handlebars everything that keep you up?
j/k...I rode an RM125 with a gripper seat and XR200R with a smooth, vinyl, banana seat and I felt like the difference depends on what you use it for.
are you riding MX? then gripper all over while to keep your ass on the bike when you're in the berms...otherwise stand most of the time
are you riding dual sport or gravel roads? then smooth...and be comfortable
Stock.
Step All the time. for MX
for Woods Whatever is on the bike.

Smoove. I don't want any hindrance to my fat ass moving around.
