I ended up working the weekend. When's the next event, and what types of frozen surface traction aids are permitted? I'm thinking of getting some cheap tires and screwing them up.

Screws are not allowed, they come out and get stuck in horses hooves. Studs are the only allowed option. Use short studs on frozen ground, long Trelliborg or Michelin for 3" or more of snow.

I talked to Gordie and he says they will run about one per month in Dec, Jan & Feb. Stay tuned.
