Is there any legal dirt riding in VT near or at Smugglers Notch? I will be there in April 16th-21st. Right now I have a CR250R that's not street legal. Hopefully by then I will have a street legal KTM or similar. Could be adventure type ride or straight up single track, I really don't care, just want to try out somewhere different.
How near do you need to be?

Within an hour lets say? Waking up early and driving a ways doesn't bother me. It's a family trip so I'm probably looking at a 4-5hr window of availability.
Picking up ktm exc next week, so any trails up there? Bike is new so it's street reg.
I like to vacation up there. There are a lot of class 5 roads that are unpaved but legal to travel on. As far as actual trail riding, I've never heard or seen a dirtbike in many years of going there. It's hard to say there are none, but I doubt it's common. Congrats on your new purchase. Show us some pictures!
There is no good dirtbike trail system in VT that I have heard of. None of the trails near the notch are even close to being dirt bike ridable.
That being said, class 4 roads, which are public highways but receive minimal maintenance, would be good for a street legal dirt bike.
Where can I find a map for class 4&5 roads?
