    Re: snow durocross

Ya who's doing this? A few of the guys that did the Fall Endurocross reckon the 'snow' one will be about 50% EASIER due to the fact snow will be filling in the rock gardens and the mud hole will be frozen. They do have a no spikes class too.

    Re: snow durocross

we went sunday to spectate, pretty cool , not a huge crowd, and not many racers , there were several riders in many classes .
the snow and ice made for some exciting action.

the woods brothers were there battling it out , though Jeff seemed to dominate over eric.

The novice class had the most crashes in the rock garden while the expert class had the best back and forth racing.

    some random pics

this guy was on an old montessa with rubber only , no spikes

looks like a blast, thanks for taking pics Sean

    why didn't you ride?

I would prefer to mask my highly noob skillset, but just the fact that it's legal riding makes me want to do it sometime

I am certainly not the competetive type, and besides a 250 street legal dual sport is not the type of bike for that event. it was fun enough to watch, I suppose if I still had a full on dirt bike I my consider it , though screws , even though legal wouldn't hold up for long , and spikes are $pendy.

    Thanks for the pics!

Jeff won all 3 Finals he was in beating out a local guy that's one of the top dirt riders in the world (he goes to the International ISDE every year, big deal). He was pretty pumped on that.

I hope there isn't any ice under that snow on that track

inspired by those pictures and always excited about snow, I took the XR200R out today and made a small snow track of my own. Unfortunately, uneven, solid patches of ice 15-20' long under powdered snow, on the uphill part of the backyard were very difficult to get past with knobbies.

still fun nonetheless and great practice in balance and handlebar position with the throttle!

yeh we watched that, the last race he was in was a good one, that otherguy almost had him a couple times , then the last jump before the finish he flew past jeff in the air then when they landed he got stuffed in the corner and jeff came out in front . Certainly entertaining .

ehh, I never thought I'd cross into that territory, to spend a couple hundred dollars to get it done on sub $1000 bikes, and keeping 2 sets of tires, but it's starting to pique my interest more and more
