Had a few people over yesterday. I think there was like, 9 quads & 4 sleds in all. About 15-16, including kids & S.O.'s riding pillion here & there. Good times...

Unfortunately for him, Canaan's still a bit young to be outside all day in 15 degree, snowy weather. But he DID get suited up!

No pics of the actual riding 'cuz well, we were riding! Great fuggin' time. Got to do some high-speed 'clocked' runs on the Raptor, hit the trails with the kids, and just hammer around on the 600+ acres of lakes around the house. Ended the day by putting the Rappy away and loadin' Tovah up on the 'Cat and toolin' her around on the trails & our lake for a while. Just fookin' incredible, if not cold...

We're right on Locke Lake, and about 100' from Halfmoon Lake. An easy 10 minute trip from Merrymeeting on a sled (which I don't have yet)...

It's unbelievable fun. My 2-wheel drive Raptor actually goes better across the lakes and in moderate snow than my 4-wheel drive Arctic Cat. Neither are studded. The Raptor bested the Arctic Cat's speed by 20+ MPH...

Arctic Cat 400 4x4 (in 4-wheel drive) = 43 MPH (indicated)

Raptor 660 = 65 MPH (clocked)

Cool! Next weekend's gonna be mellow (savin' myself for Sunday!), but I think we're doin' it again the following weekend. But it'll just be the guys this time. It's great with the kids & all, but it gets kinda boring after a while. If you guys ride down to Halfmoon (and I know you can), you'll be about 5 minutes from my house...

This is the now infamous 'The Hill' going up my backyard. You have about 50 feet to go up about 20 feet in elevation. The fresh-pack we had yesterday actually provided decent traction 'til the sleds started digging it up. The less experienced kids kinda wreaked havoc on it also by just kinda trying to rip up it and digging the shit outta it when they'd get stuck. It's hard to tell from this vantage point what a bitch it is....

you guys are killing me. i almost pulled the trigger on a used kawi 700 4x4 this past weekend then my wife put my balls in her purse.

i "should" have one in time for next season maybe even summer. looking at houses first...
