Do they run rain or shine?
Haha! I have had heats at Stimilon where it was pouring so hard I had to slow down to figure out which way the track went. The water pooling on the surface made it look slick as hell, but there was actually some traction. The steep sections were like waterfalls.
yes, rain or shine

looks like that inside line is the ticket
yeah, i think Paul was on the gate for the worst moto of the day... wasnt the pause right after that to wait out the downpour and fix the track up (?)
rained the season before too but not like last year. wow.

i just got really nervous looking at the calendar... time is getting tight! gotta get in the garage asap, TC is a mess
Beta 200RR
nope, just the TC. sand tire + more grunt = clinton can ride morer lazier![]()

Front brake is apart and waiting for a dip in the ultrasonic cleaner once my seals arrive. I've got a new master and brake line to adapt if I don't like the results of flushing my current unit.
I'm also pricing out refreshing my suspension on my own vs letting a pro have at it but I think the time crunch before Stimilon may rule that out.
My jetting could be tweaked but it runs well enough, and my seat is still purple, alas.
im Ready Just have to do an oil change. If there is a tire guy at Stimulon i will rock sand tires. If not I will run whats on there. They are actully really good in the sand sections I hit.
I would not hesitate to the entire Weekend without a front brake at all. There is absolitely no braking area on the track I have never touched either of my brakes ever on that track. the deep sand is your brakes.

The only reason I'm touching the front brake in the first place is to eliminate excess drag. The calipers aren't retracting resulting in enough resistance that I can see it dumping me in the sand in situations where I should be able to roll through and stay on two wheels.
Ok, so I'm still trying to figure out what classes I would prefer to enter before I register and figured I would go through and put down who has said they were going and what classes they said they would be in to help me make the choice. Please check and update if any of my entries are wrong.
typeone, said that you registered but didn't say for what classes.

At this point it looks like Never Ever and Old 30C would have the most people I know but if I were to jpin Daniel in Brittle 40C that could be fun too. Update away and I'll figure it out. It looks like we might even be able to field a team in da States if we wanted to.
What's the deal with numbers on your bike? The bike I bought has number plates already, black backgrounds with white numbers, number 907. I don't want to show up and be that Novice idiot running some experts number and stickers and I have no idea how the colors in MX work.
Where is the prefered location of camping for all of you guys? I would like to join you all if I could. Likely to be Friday night but possibly Saturday AM and overnight Saturday.
Thanks
Joel

I'm actually in Never Ever and Headlight, plus the ride day after, just checked my pre-reg.
Number colors don't matter.
I'm not camping at the track. If there is a group spot and they don't mind me leaving my trailer/bike when I make my hike to the hotel each night that'd be cool

We have set up camp/pit in the same place the last couple years.
Drive into the infield. We are on the right hand side just past the access road down to the track. Near the snack stand.
I will be camping Friday and Saturday night
I'm signed up for Old 30C and Keepin it real, but I may just do the 30C as I am severely out-of-shape. Actually I take that back. Round is a shape.![]()
Never Ever + Old 30C for me again this yearplenty of competition + usually bag my 4th moto if i feel zapped
i'm hotel'ing with Squirrel on Fri night and camping Sat night, shooting for the same pit spot. dinner on Fri night was cool last time, could do that again (?) i'll be arriving the same time as usual, by 5 or 6 whenever the gates open for check in.
leaving time for a track walk Fri evening is nice, gets the butterflies swarming
i'll have my EZup with me again... remember to bring chairs, plenty of hang time in between motos
