Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
If I can find a blind bearing puller set I should be able to repair my clutch this weekend. Once the clutch is 100% I'll be signing up for Keeping it Real and Headlight I think.

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
A puller? All I need is a 10 or 12mm socket.

You show me how to remove the clutch pull arm needle bearing with a 10mm or 12mm socket and I'll buy you a case of your choice.

Hmmm. Never needed to do that. Guess that's one of the pro's of riding an old 2-stroke! Cheap and easy to maintain. :shredder:

I can race 40 this year too! Can't wait to run Southwick on the KXF with those crazy sand tires.
Sorry about NESR, I'll stop posting...

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
what sand tires are you trying, Paul? the Pirelli MXS works mint
-
Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
Yeah, the Pirellis. I got 2 used sets with my KXF. One set has some life left in them.

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
I have to replace my tires this year too. They are kind of dry-rotted and the knobbies are starting to chunk off. Think I put them on in '98 or '99.

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338

No. My bike has always been in the garage or barn and it took 13 years for the tires to go.

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
bike is warm and cozy in the basement, new tire isn't.
13 years? hahaa!

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
I ride it once a year. Used to be for a memorial race, but they ended it. Now it's Stimilon.

Won't YOU need it to race with us? :D
(Not available in 18" for us enduro derived nutballs or I'd have been all over it.)

Re: STIMILON 2011 !!! May 28/29 MX338
:spit: I would come IF:
1.) my MX bike ran
2.) I knew how to ride an MX bike
I went to the "NESR rise of the dirt cycles" a couple years ago at crow hill...black squirrel was there...A13 was there...pittenger was there...and the moment I let out the clutch on the rutted entrance...I fell. And it gets worse: I couldn't pass 8 year olds on CRF80's...I almost went over the bars on the first jump with a lip...and after leaving at noon to go home and finish up work, I slept for like 2 days from all the aches and pains
But I have a 6-week rotation up at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA...and it is 8.3 miles from Crow Hill, so hopefully I can get some practice in, and be able to run laps, rolling all the jumps. I also started working out, so hopefully my body will be better conditioned to handle the stress...
