So does this look more accurate?? Looking like I'll be doing Never Ever and trying to decide between Old 30C with more guys or Brittle 40C with Daniel and Paul. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! What to do, what to do?

What other classes are for people that can't ride for shit? I was also goin to do never ever, but I was stumped on the 2nd one aside from keeping it real.

Just checked the long range forecast. Phew! gonna be sloppy again. It just wouldn't be right to have Stimilon without a completely saturated track! This is getting too be like the Loudon Classic.
Edit: Keepin it real is an open class, so experts do it. Any class that says Hack after it is good!
thanks Paul, open hack (Open Novice Class- all bikes over 125cc) might be a better second option
anyone got a schedule as to which times the motos are? looks like a 1-1/2 hour drive

they will probably make the schedule on Sat morning and even then, it's subject to change through the day. just part of the deal to listen to the loudspeakers (which is difficult) and check the schedule sheet constantly throughout the day. (grabbing a print out helps)
side note: was just out working on the TC... ugh, lower steering bearings are toast. spiced up the work scene by accidentally hitting the f'in lift stand handle walking by, dropping the bike instantly and sending it flying into my pitbike. awesome domino trick.

cool, thanks
what time are most of you guys getting there?
and what do you bring? I figure aside from the obvious stuff, bring some beer, food, water, beer, tools, gas, a chair, and change of clothes with a towel...and maybe some baby wipes.
if the weather or a location around the track permits, I'll bring a camcorder and try to get as much of your races as I can on tape (although quality will only be 320x240)
think i usually get there around 6PM for gates/check in (Friday). black GMC pickup, white Husky #22.
right, just pack all the usual stuff for a full dirt day or as if you were camping + riding two days straight... EZups + chairs are life savers.

Is there power available? If so I have an electric cooler, otherwise I'll plan on packing some ice.
Also, I'm going to pick up a couple air filters so I have clean ones ready to go. Given how sandy Southwick is supposed to be, would filter skins/pre filters make sense?
dont think power is readily available (dont remember seeing any cords) although there is a spigot right near our pit and usually a hose hangin' out so that helps if it gets sloppy.
i didnt even touch my bike from last year, working on it last night, the filter was pretty clean. up to you if you want spares around but i dont sweat it. each of the 'C' or 'Beginner' classes are only 4 laps x 2 motos.

There are some power outlets I believe, but they are far and few, and usually taken. Same goes for water hook-ups.
One filter will be good for the day. Mine's not real dirty from last year, but the oil dries out so you want to clean it.

laminated tear-offs![]()
Beta 200RR
Oh yea, I'm out of those. Only took 5 years to go though a pack.
i always forget those f'in things or lose them directly after use. ordering more right now.. .
Beta 200RR
ive been tempted for years but once tear-offs went laminated, seem way more simplerer
did you use roll offs last year? any water behind the strip?

Stupid question/s..............
I don't have hanguards on the bike right now and the ones I do have wrap around and bolt to the end of the bars. Do I need to go buy some that do not wrap around to the bar if I want to use handguards? Do I even need handguards at Southwick?
Is a chest protector a must have? I don't have one and finding one my size on short notice might be difficult.
