    I'm tenting it.

    Dirt bike tools:

8, 10, 12, 14, 17 mm sockets with ratchet and extensions, and wrenches (or t handles)
Maybe metric allens if your bike has Allen bolts
Both kinds of screwdrivers, sized to fit clickers
Duct tape, safety wire, dykes, a large adjustable, chain lube, some wd-40

That'll take care of most issues. Borrow the rest!

I'm half wondering if I have time to add a deep cycle battery setup to the trailer before this event. I think yes. All I really need to do is add the lead for the battery, a battery box, and vent it. I think.

I rode opening day at Winchester mx and it reminded me of one thing that I always have amnesia about... ARM PUMP! Remember guys... sleep, hydrate, relax, proper body position and keep a loose grip. All of which goes right out the window when you line up next to your buddies! haha

Hope to see some guys there. Also I am local to the track (about 20mins) and have a full professional shop at home

Besides a proper helmet, you absolutely NEED quality boots. Planting your foot in the dirt at high speeds will explode your ankle if you aren't protected.

    Re: STIMILON!

I like my Leatt road race unit, I need a MX/SX appropriate setup next and will be looking at the Leatt offering there as well. A bunch of other companies have stepped up their offerings as well so you do get a LOT to choose from now. In the Leatt lineup you're shopping from the GPX line. The old Adventure 3 is the prior, out of production generation. If you can score a deal on one I'd snag it, otherwise the current tiering goes:

GPX 4.5 - Base level, two adjustments
GPX 5.5 - High end, three adjustments, lower profile latch mechanism, back strut folds for easier packing
GPX 6.5 - Take the 5.5, make it out of carbon, save .4lbs of weight

Motocross Neck Brace Buyer's Guide - YouTube covers the four common brands. The EVS is on sale. Primary thing I see with it compared to Leatt is less back contact, no collar bone cutouts and no emergency release mechanism. It's basically a beefed up neck roll like we're required to use at Maine Indoor Karting. Given the price point with the sale, the EVS R4 Pro is hard to ignore and is absolutely worlds better than nothing.

I bought an atlas and have never actually used it. No defensible reason why.

    Yeah..

The last time I went out (alone!) and launched myself over the bars right onto my head was a bit of an eye opener.

I picked up a used pair of Gaerne SG10s (I think) this morning for $150. I think they were $500 new..!

    Re: STIMILON!

I use Gaerne SG10s and I know a number of other people on this forum do as well. They're an excellent boot and seem to work well for individuals with large calves. I tried to get the SG12s but even through multiple pairs and sizes, there was a pressure point above my right ankle that became unbearable after only 10-15 minutes of wearing them. During my last attempt to get properly fitted, the Gaerne regional sales manager just happened to be in the shop where I was trying on the 12s and he suggested trying the 10s which ended up fitting correctly.

Poop, I need numbers. 'lectrical tape is permitted, no? I think I still have some yellow vinyl kicking around. I'm definitely sticking with AM plates.

plate colors don't match lrrs. I'm not even sure what they are. Run whatever colors you want. Electrical tape is fine.
