Just picked up my numbers for the KTM. Those, put a new headlight rubber on, charge the batt and put the seat back on and I'm good to go.
Overacheivers.
KTM still leaks oil. I think I now have the parts required to prevent that (okay, slow that).
Numbers?! Ha.
"I am NEVER going to race this one."
Worse than Bill and that 600.
We supposed to put fancy numbers on?
I must have some electric tape around here somewhere. I don't even think the KTM 250xc can fit 6" numbers...
Whatever. I've been putting quite a bit of time and money into getting my suspension sorted lately, and it's coming together, to the point where it's so (unjustly) confidence inspiring that last night I overshot the landing on a table top at my local practice track, and had a terrifying two or three seconds waiting for a flat land touchdown with Evel Knievel front wheel high attitude. Made the landing, miraculously, and immediately pulled off to reevaluate my priorities (LOL)
EK BONER AIR ! at least you stuck with the Oscar Mayer theme![]()
Beta 200RR
I'm almost ready.........
Need to install new tires
Need to install new throttle cables - found out my return cable was frayed while putting carb back in from installing air screw
Need to install new hot start threaded piece and seal - found out this was stripped beyond continued use when putting carb back in from installing air screw
Need to put numbers on - probably not the right colors but I'm putting black 6" numbers on white backgrounds and no I am not an expert but that is what the bike is getting for numbers
Need to remember how to ride in the dirt - haven't been on a dirtbike since the week before Christmas
and oh yeah, busy with work during the week and LRRS next weekend so gonna have to get creative on when I'll get this work done.
Looking forward to getting out there and having fun though so that will make up for it all.
my number plates should be here this week, otherwise i'm good to go... can't ride this wknd so i'm planning to play out back a few times on a small jump we found to practice leaving the groundbeen playing with suspension settings as well. woods bike = couchy

I suppose it's time to order a new set of rear wheel bearings. I've been procrastinating long enough but I've been distracted with the sumo wheels. I'm debating staying with my half worn trials tire or making the switch to my Vee Rubber knobby. This dirt shit is complicated!

Thank god I'm not in the headlight class with you woods folk.:

So uhh, how do I chose a number for my bike?! I really want π or something cool, because I'm a huge dork.
I guess I could cheat and do 227, because 22/7 is 3.1428571, which is not actually Pi at all but what it's they told me in school. Those liars!
069 is too obvious, and 80085 is too many digits. 666 is the number of the beast, but I'm sure I'm not the first person that's thought of that. I guess I could do 071, which George Carlin described as "The 69 with two fingers up your ass"...
