I should be there Before 4 To drive our Flag into the mountain.
excellence.
Tim said he will prob arrive around 430 or so. trying for as early as possible... one mtg at 11 then i should be a free man...
i'm bringing a painters mask for portajon use this year. almost lost my lunch in the heat of the day :D
hey smutty (or anyone), need any free tires? not for sand but i'm giving Shawn a few and have a set of 21/18 Michelin Enduro Comp 3's that will be going in the trash if no one wants them. basically new, came stock on my WR.
man, reading this makes me excited...have fun boys and snap a couple pics out there
Wow...I'm actually sore. Track was fun as hell and I learned more than I ever thought I could about sand riding.
Paul did awesome with his podium (in the old guy class) and everyone else picked up a lot throughout the day. The 6th moto was horrible lol.
sick weekend as usual, great to hang with the crew!
which classes were you guys in? i went up for the day to watch. twheat ran and another kid i know not on here was also running. i dont want a DB now, i need one.
We were in a whole buncha classes. 30/40c, never ever, keepin it real, headlight, hack, etc. None of us are MX racers or anything.
I took 3 2nd places in the old guy classes. Woot! This was our best Event to date. Everyone stepped up and represented!
what numbers were u guys? we watched a bunch of races, i had a blast watching even if u guys were all hacks!
still pumped on my holeshot, even if it was for never ever :D
bars are tweaked, skid plate is smashed in but the Husky pulled through. now to tear her down.. .
Ya, I was 728. I can't believe that Husky held up even after losing that tranny bolt. That thing had a halo around it by saturday evening.
just dropped the oil...
no shrapnel, only one fleck on the magnet and the oil is dirty. hard to tell if it's from a day of clutch abuse (slipped it a lot yest) or something else. i'll let it settle and reinspect.
At least one Brayton can find their way around a mx track! Good job out there. Wish I could have been there.
Timmy represented! I think it was his third moto where he started to find his way. I got some good pics of one of his tougher moments though. They are on Shawn's camera. will post when I get them...
DFL beats DNF beats DNS
Now, if you don't mind, I have a ton of wrist bands to cut off and a few pounds of sand weight to loose.
"Yeaaah... I'm going to have to ask you not race this weekend and come in and work Saturday, OK?"
Nice shot, didn't even remember you taking it. Talked to Ralph (Southwick track operator) a bit today before leaving, if we want to get more time in the sand this year we should plan on running a vintage MX weekend. Very laid back group, they've got 4 modern classes so everyone has a place to run. Because it's mostly vintage machines and more laid back riders the track doesn't get as whooped out in a day as it does for Stimilon. Even better, it costs $10 at the gate and $30 a class... and that's it. They typically do open Sunday practice after as well.
Crud, the group is ACRM, American Classic Racing Motocross. http://www.acrmx.com/index1.html They only have one date at MX338 this year, June 16th. I don't think I can make another weekend that soon.
If you read the class descriptions, The modern classes say "To ride this class, riders must also be entered in one or more other ACR classes."
