Here's the full second heat of Crusty 40C. It's a decent watch as I went from 2nd to 10th, back to second. I had the leader in sight by the checkers. One more lap and I could've caught him.

How much sand did you eat just in that moto?! You were catching roost near constantly, that must have been brutal. Nicely done.
Nice job guys, I plan to make it there next year.
Dammit! Now I want to alter my lines!

Nice riding Paul.
That looks like fun!
I have dirty gear but no dirty bike. And I don't know how to ride MX, only ever done woods (and done it poorly).

Good news, I don't know how to ride MX either, and do poorly in the woods too! It'll be great, we can talk to other newbies around the fire, talking about our line selection and secret tips and techniques we've worked out, and end it with a group hug before we go to our respective tents for the evening!
Or... we can hit up that pub with the crappy food but good cover band afterwards, you're call. I'm good with either. Hell, even if you have no intention of riding, show up anyways, entertainment is just a few bad decisions away at all times.
Oh, and seeing as my WR is finally calming down, you're good to use it if you want also, might be a bit easier than a 125 in the sand?
Glad you guys all had fun
Wish I coulda pulled this off but my fukin work schedule sucks donky penasia.
Speakin of which, I'll have to load up the vid on my cell phone as that's where I am right now & youtube is blocked.![]()

Nice ride Paul! Strange how that track can shape up so many different ways, depending on the day. There were some turns that I've usually seen form much more distinct lines that looked like you could go anywhere. I need to try to make this one next year.

great vid! i was ahead of you for a whole... seven seconds. (1:44)
sweet you kept it alive after the first fall then saved the second bobble. sand was deep over there, saw the whole thing.
nice work this weekend, it was a blast watching you rip up 30C![]()

I only saw exposed plumbing in one hole this year and it was easily avoidable. Come to think of it, I only saw it once, they might have filled it back in after that race? 'Cording to Ralph this weekend was the ideal setup, nice steady soaking but not torrential rains for the week before to get a good solid pack down and their crew is better at watering and initial grooming now too.

Vid from the 2nd moto of Old 30C I believe. 2nd half has some good footage of Paul, including me nearly taking him out at one point.![]()
A good gallery of pics I just found: http://daveschmidtphoto.smugmug.com/...3231860_8Pnhmm
He's also got stuff from last year.
