    Street Legalizing a 2002 CRF450r in Mass

Just bought a 2002 crf450r in Massachusetts. I have no paperwork other than a bill of sale

I want to dual sport it with the
    baja kit ,
    a stator rewind kit,
    speedo,
    mirrors,
and on road tires (any ideas on sizing and can I find tires that work on the dirt rims).

It seems like the easiest way to do this is to do all the mods, have someone in New Hampshire buy it, get an inspection stations letter of approval, get a New Hampshire title, then use that title to title and register it in Massachusetts.

Am I missing anything? Just don't want to get halfway into it and run into a surprise 500 dollar expense... And for when I do get to the New Hampshire part of things has anyone done this before in NH that may want to "buy" my bike for a bit?

You might be able to reg and title in nh, without the inspection...it's always safer with these things to get paperwork first, then dump the $ into actually making it road worthy. (check with someone in nh to make sure you can plate it with just a bill of sale too)

Cool, anyone in NH been through this process that may be able to help me out? As much as I'd like to be a NH resident, I have a few more years of mass.

If you know what has to be done on the NH side of things i can lend a hand and get it done.

I think the steps for New Hampshire are:

Get this form filled out: http://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/d...ts/tdmv19a.pdf

Go to DMV with form and bill of sale and obtain a title (is this right?)

It does look like I would be able to skip all the road inspection stuff in new hampshire by just titling and not registering, is this right? I know it would still need the VIN inspected.

Does anyone know if I need an OHRV form in order to title the bike in New Hampshire?

I just went through this process and it can be done. Have a friend register it in NH under their name. They will get the NH street title. Sell it back to you and register in Mass. I did this in spring and worried it wouldn't work but it did.
