the otis region while has difficult riding... also has the pipeline, which is rocky. and there is water you can poke around and not get to technical if you choose. and most watering holes are avoidable.

what about october mtn? how is the riding there?

Please do not post locations of your non-legal riding spots

The Otis pipeline is also not legal land to be on FYI

weather or not it is "legal" or not... have you ever been there and bothered? i have not, nor have i seen any no trespassing signs....or heard anyone tell me is not legal. honestly i did not know it wasnt legal....but i will continue to ride the trails including the pipeline , while i prefer single track, the pipeline is a means or getting from one trail to another...

Posted on DCR website "Tolland State Forest (Tolland, Sandisfield, Otis) Approx. 15 miles of trails, old logging roads near the Otis Reservoir. Not recommended for ATVs or non-road-registered motorcycles. 413-269-6002 (Mass Pike to exit 3, Route 10/202 south, Route 20 west, Route 23 west, follow signs)"

    http://www.mass.gov/dcr/recreate/orv.htm

CB is correct, kind of, DCR is suggesting folks don't ride ATV's in Tolland. From what I understand, it was becoming very crowded with people from out of state. Berkshire Trail Riders maintain that State Forest through the Berkshire Trails council. They maintain Otis as well. You can get away with riding there, for now but that won't last for much longer.
