not in CT ... (btw, the very tasteless joke won't make sense unless you've read the various conspiracy theories born of FB geniuses)
Sadly, I am sure they will find his body in the spring.....
I just read through the various theories surrounding this story. While don't believe any of them, I do think it's safe to say this kid didn't just get hurt and die from being stranded. Who knows what really happened, or if the kid has really even disappeared. The family is shady and wouldn't be surprised if parts of these various theories are true. The question is which parts?
ya know, i was gonna say something about that. if you or your kids have a tendency to ride alone then the $100-150 on a tracker is money well spent.
i tend to ski alone and have considered one. i try not to ride alone but if i had one i would be more inclined to do so.
You can get a used spot device all day for $40.
Mountain lion or bear
I am going with a back pack of pot deal , gone bad, he will never be heard from again
Eh no cat or bear's gonna get rid of the dirt bike. There's bs involved, he's fine somewhere I'm guessing
Body has been found, and police are investigating a person of interest.
bummer outcome
Really? wow
Article Missing Sterling teen found dead
"Police have an active crime scene on Laiho Road, but it is unclear if that is where the body was found. Detectives say they are in the process of recovering Allen’s remains.
According to police, they have identified a person of interest in the case, however no arrests have been made."
This is really close to my work. Coworker said body was found next to his best friend's house and his best friend is the one they are investigating.
Very strange. Teenage murders aren't that common. The dirtbike and injury add to the intrigue.
Prob jellous bud.....killed him for his bike
The theory, and emphasis on theory because I think there's very little authoritative info, is that he and/or his family were somehow involved in drugs. There's a couple explanations people have, but no supporting evidence. Small town e-gossip. Many seem to believe the txt messages were not genuine, hence why they weren't very helpful.
"Right now, they’re saying information developed from the Eastern District Major Crimes division led to the discovery." Source
But I guess if you went for a walk in your woods, found a dead body and called the police, you'll be on the short list of people who might have been involved. Person of interest isn't suspect, and it's good to see they didn't put a name on it. I don't think either articles mention finding the dirtbike. I usually don't follow these kinda stories, but for some reason I find this one interesting. I guess due to all the drama in the beginning, I'm interested to see who was right.
Maybe richw was on to something with a pot deal gone wrong...
man, that sucks. strange that "one of his highschool friends brought police to the body". so curious what went down.
totally uneducated and unsubstantiated nothing more than a wild guess: something like the scene in pulp fiction where they put the needle into the heart for a miraculous instantaneous recovery, without the needle or the miraculous instantaneous recovery.
In other words, a far less than perfect medical response from tripping cohorts, followed by guilt ridden attempted coverup.
Yeah I heard the drug theory too. It's not far from killingly, so not surprising.
Sad ending.
True, except drug violence IS still concentrated in certain areas. Holyoke and Springfield MA continue to rank among the highest murder rates anywhere, and it is all drug traffic related.
