    Thrill & Chill

I am planning to ride the Thrill & Chill turkey run this Sunday. I will have a 3 rider group this time. IIRC - this ride has a huge sand pit section that is pretty incredible on its own.
I anyone else planning on attending? This is a Saturday afternoon/All day Sunday ride. I am planning on riding Sunday only.

I'm not going, but some of the trails in that area are ridiculous.
This is the stream off the tree farm:

    To lots of piney flow:

I don't have anything good from the tattooine section, but it is insane. Keep the throttle buried.

Sunday riders will be using my trails in one of their sections. The club has been working hard clearing and arrowing trails the past couple weeks, all 4.5 miles of them. I'd ride it if I had a registered bike, instead ill be on my deck drinking some cold ones while watching the madness. Have fun, the steak fry is always awesome

Quick side question: do you need off road regi's to ride on private property in RI?

That is great, Mark! Look for my trademark white, open face lid, with a Go-Pro mounted on top going by! I will stop to say "Hi" if I see you!

No, just permission in writing if you're not with the land owner. In this case, the club has permission, so all riders are covered. You only need a registration for this event because it uses public roads to connect various properties together

Gotchya. Pretty much the same in NH...

Side question #2: in RI, can clubs request a permit for such events that wave the regi requirements (as they can in NH)?

    ...sorry to the OP, BTW...

If it's 100% on private land, yes. If it uses the roads at all, bikes need a street plate.
There's an event called Woods-O-Cross run by the same club about 3 miles from my house, it's all on private land, and there is no registration requirement for that.

NH, Mass, Maine, etc are a bit different than RI when it comes to ORV use and registrations, RI has no legal public riding land, whereas all the neighboring states have some sort of designated recreational land use plan in place for ORV's

I am riding a 2012 KTM 350 EXC-F. It goes pretty good, and I have it set up to be pretty comfortable for these long rides, but I still miss my KDX 200's. I am just stuck in the past, I guess.

Count me as a light maybe for this. I want to ride it but, it's my only day off and the wifey won't be happy. We will see what's she's got planned.

Well, then maybe I won't be seeing you, Mark... LOL. It is supposed to be STUPID HOT this Sunday, so I don't see myself taking on many hero sections.

You'll still do section 4, they just have it broken up a bit. There is an option to go around it, that is the fun, longer loop anyways.
