I loved rokon when they came out the guy in Bethel VT just drove it over his pick up truck as a demo.

Damn smutty if you were close I'd fix her up for ya...been working on bikes a lot lately (mainly just spark plugs and graphics kits ) and things have been working so it motivates me...although a rokon sounds completely out of my expertise
How much those run for? Sorta want one to do some desert rock climbing

No idea. I got mine for free from a neighbor that was moving. Needs ignition parts. I'd have to upgrade to the electronic ignition which is $$$ and I need a new tank which is even more $$$.
That's why it hasn't been fixed yet unfortunately.

If you need a hand with it, one of my friends here in Waterboro is a Rokon fanatic. He's got something like 20 or so in various states of repair and he's big in the Rokon community. At some point I'll dig up the vid of him and the club bombing around the woods in the winter. It's exactly what you'd expect a group of people on bikes that can supposedly go anywhere to be doing, trying to outdo each other by going in more and more ridiculous places.
that sounds like a "Rokon" good time
post video pls
this is bad...this is bad...this is bad....I see a bike I have absolutely no use for, that I will likely ride once in a specific terrain situation, and I want it.

Rokon is the rock crawler of dirt bikes.
I lol'd at the BW350 vs. video.
The tires I ran last week in the snow were not ice studs. They were diy studded knobbies maxim gave me. What's the difference? These seem to be short AMA type ice screws, but way less of them than an ice tire.
And yes. I torched the rear on the pavement. Arguably worth it for the grin factor. My neighbor caught me out walking the dog the other day and couldn't wait to tell me what an irresponsible menace to society she thinks I am. Proud moment. Although I did think they'd hold up better than they did. I now need to repair the tires and will likely not do that again.
Since then I got a set of big buck fredette 'kanadian' ice tires. I plan to take better care of these.
The street will destroy ice screws quick. I had similar excursions last year on my TTR-250 with similar ice screw tires. The back ones got so bad they were near impossible to take out. If you had carbide studs they would last longer, but, any metal on pavement is going to do damage.
