An auto-clutch would certainly allow me to use higher gearing. At $600 (the KTM versions always cost more, for some reason!), the EXP is next on my list. The gearing can only go *so high*, though, as clutch slippage is clutch slippage, whether it is automatic, or manual, and it generates a lot of heat, and is wear on the plates. It may also be more difficult to modulate at super low crawling speeds with higher gearing. For the most part, they are not a substitute for proper gearing, or proper clutch use, but merely a stall-prevention device.
