    Any trails open this weekend?

I think the state forests and stuff are closed until May, right? Anything open this weekend?

no, HVD is open year round, they only close for flooding or poor trail conditions. it's not a MA state forest but an Army Corps of Engineers flood control project on the French River. they do require MA ORV reg though and do check often so make sure you're legal.

great spot to practice your dirt skills. any of the lower trails will be fun and challenging. lots of regulars so it's easy to hook up with someone if you don't want to ride solo.

i would join you and show you around but i'll be down at Gillette for SX (pumped!)

forgot to add.. yes, you're correct, MA state forests open May 1.

If you have plates Pachaug Enduro loop open year round, did about 90 miles last weekend, more info in ADV, you should monitor the Pachaug thread and join someone who knows the loop

Where is a fast place to get an ORV sticker? I've been at the Roslindale RMV for a while now waiting to street register the Kato...

    I'm MATPOC on ADV

    here's the thread

Some people are more secretive than others, trail maps are available to public at DEP office but not many will share the GPS files because of the constant fear of trails being shut down, just like everywhere else, it takes two assholes, one who shits all over the place and another with too much time on his hands and a mission to save the planet.

had several encounters with DEP all have been pleasant, they seem to like us and welcome those who follow the rules, which are simple: stay on red arrowed trail and don't shit all over the place, also because the loop is spread across several town and is connected by road sections plates are required even on single track, although I have seen many non-plated bikes, usually close to RI border, DEP is more interested in keeping Jeeps and Quads out of the trails.

Going to SX this weekend but might go for a quick spin next weekend... unless I get the tix to AMA (MotoAmerica) at NJ

Damn it, I was going to hit Crow Hill tomorrow but they're closed due to the weather. I guess I could try getting an off-road tag and maybe doing HVD or something. Are there other weekday alternatives?!
