    Uxbridge anyone?

Anyone wanna gohere to give the track a try sometime? There is an option on Mondays to rent the track for private party, it would be cool if we could do that and get enough people to keep the cost down.
Either way would work for me. Is there any intrest?

Track rental is on Mondays only and includes the following:

Time from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
    2 safety flaggers
    1 water technician
    Freshly groomed track

Price is $ 1000.00 and is limited to no more than 50 riders.

Monday would be the best also IMO. I know i can get 5 or 6 quads to go and i'm sure 5 or 6 dirtbikes from the forums. 10-15 riders would be ideal IMO and would keep costs reasonable. We just need to agree on a date and call the track. Middle to end of September??

I'm in, and am sure I can convince wifey to go .
Figure if we got 20 people, to go we can do 2 groups of 10. split into heats of 5 , 10 seconds apart that would give pleanty of space on the track. lets pick a monday.

    what about mon sept 15th??????

    Uxbridge anyone?

I was talking this over with the guys at work today (the other quad riders i was counting on) and a problem came up that i didn't think about
If all of us go on a Monday, who's gonna work at our company. I somehow don't think they'll be too happy if we shut the place down for a day to go riding. I will at least ask the boss.

What are the chances of getting at least 10 people from the forums?
There's also details to be worked out as far as the rental of the track, deposits, etc.

One of the guys at work suggested just going after work one night and checking it out. We get out at 3 most of the time and it's only 25 minutes from our shop, you'd still end up with 3 good hours of track time for 25 beans

To be honest, I would rather pay a bit more money for the private rental and be on the track with a smaller group rather than a huge bunch of strangers.
Otherwise i just assume go trail ride somewhere for free.

    simple math $1000 track rental
10 people $100 each for an 8 hour rental
    20 people $50 each

I would say we would want to max it out at 20 people.

20 riders would be cooler for me ($$$). A mix of bikes and quads, grouped into sessions, should work okay -- probably wouldn't even notice the other riders if there're less than a dozen out at a time? I found racing a hare scramble to be about 100x more demanding than a track day @ Loudon, so I don't anticipate being able to ride the track for more than about 15 minutes at time w/o being drained, since I've never ridden one.

I vote for Mark arranging everything and getting the monies together.

I have no problem doing the "dirty" work and getting things going. I'll make the call to the track and pay to reserve the day, however, i need 10 confirmed riders with 10 deposits before i place any calls. Deposits will be non refundable once the track has been reserved

IMO, some of us that are reasonably close to the track should at least go and check it out first on a weekday to see if it would even be worth the extra cash for the private day. I'm gonna "try" to get there one day next week Anyone in?

AS of now, 3 of us are planning on going this Tuesday 8-26-03 after work to check this place out. This plan could change so if you're planning on going too, check back often
Look for "Team Atlas", 2 black Raptors and a white 450

Mark I heard some interesting news you may want to know about your 450... You may not like it... Sorry.

My buddy from High school has been riding since he was 14 which is irrelivent, but he had a few buddys that have already brought their 450's back because after 2500 miles the top end needed to be rebuilt, seems they only designed these based on racing and 95% will need this top end work every 2500 to 3500 miles depending on the aggresiveness of riding bearing hardship on the motor by the rider... These friend of his got their $$ returned and did not keep the 450's! I hope you do not have this issue, but beware!!! Then again you probably will not own it til there is 2500 miles on it anyhow!!!
Just a FYI.... This person is someone that love yami's and still rides, he had a the new 450 Birt Bag, I mean Dirt bike. He is interested in joining your group track rental BTW...

2500 miles? There's no trip meter on the thing, how do they know?
It'd take me 4 years to get that kinda time/miles on the thing anyways but no, i have not heard of this yet. I visit bluetrax.com often and have yet to see this issue come up.
As with all new models, there will be some type of issues and yes, the new 450 has some. As long as yamaha pays and i don't get stuck in the woods with it, i'm happy

Count me in as long as it stays smallish. Im down for the 100$ or 50$ or 75$ plan even...

So if ChR1s is doing 15 minute heats you can count on me for about 5 fast minutes
