I have had mine on dirt roads with no problems. I wouldn't take it on a new england trail , but dirt roads are fine. I did manage to get both wheels about a foot off the ground after gassing it over a rock sticking up in the middle of a washed out dirt road last weekend. Thats about as much air as I would think i would want to get on a bike that big and heavy.
