My sister and niece stopped by before I left, so I didn't end up going. But given the temperatures that day I'm glad I didn't. I'm trying to see if I can make it out this Saturday. I imagine it's going to be damp though... so that can't make it any easier?

With sand, damp is good. Swamped is bad...

I ran the J Day at Southwick today. First time I've ever run that race and first time in a very long time racing dirt bikes. I entered the 40+ C class, 32 riders in it and got excellent starts, sixth and third in each of the two 30 minute motos but I faded way back to 17th and 22nd by the end of the races. I'm just glad I was able to finish and stay on the lead lap (not get lapped). Honestly, I wanted to quit so bad during the second moto. Track was dry but it was gnarly, especially in the woods. Right now my entire body feels like it was hit by a truck (in a good way)
I took a couple short vids, will try to upload

Eh it's not letting me...tried five times. I have one 21 seconds long of routine mayhem in the extreme section, and a 30 second one of part of the first lap of the pro moto with Johnny girroir from southwick killing it. Guess I can either screw around with photo bucket or show you guys at Stimilon...

The track was PACKED today..,cars parked all the way out to the baseball fields where you first come in, and a whole bunch of classes sold out. JDAY is going richter!

Yesterday was round two of the JDAY series, about a half hour away from Southwick in Huntington, MA. I didn't race, but went there to spectate and drop off suspension after some pretty harsh bottoming of the forks at the last round.

There are some you tube videos posted by others of the racing early in the day. This one is particularly entertaining, dude didn't get a good start but is passing people like a video game:

The track got much gnarlier later in the day, as usual.
