Me and KB ripped for a while today, he laid out a great track and we were having a blast. Going to get seth setup in the morning and head out for another one. I build a damn good ice tire, my front was like glue and I was slamming the thing down. KB's got a great setup, and we caught a bunch of fish too.
Sean nice work! We'll be out on sunday fo shizzle. I need tp ic up the heater for the ice house and we're warm like fuck..

I think I am going to have to bail for this one, we have several inches on the ground already and its still snowing pretty hard, its roughly 2hours to get to NH for me on a dry day and RI is 1 1/2 hrs on a dry day.
Perhaps I'll shoot for next weekend.

We are not on the ice today. It's snowing and I'm watching TV waiting for it to stop so I can snowblow.

Jen's friends were practicing on lake Wickabog yesterday. It was C-O-L-D!!!
BTW - In the 2nd pic the guys are trying to get the KFX going! I had never seen this technique before!

Thats funny, we were going to go to wickabog yesterday but ended up at quabog instead, there were a ton of trucks in the lot but the place looked empty, everyone must have gone way out to the other pond .
We did get a visit from the local ELE guy and got a wave from him as he was leaving ( once he saw the yellow plates )
I think it was the same guy as last year that gave us the friendly heads up about needing an atv plate to be on the ice .

Yes, we were way out back. My daughter told me that the previous weekend a guy showed up and flashed a badge. He said that "plowing" was not allowed on the lake. The boys had a quad with a plow on it...
Anyway, it was nice to get some seat time on the DRZ, it was just too cold!
Long day, I'm sore as hell and I just got home. Had a blast riding a small ice track we have, though it took a few hours to clear all the fresh snow from it.
I think I'll have more fun on the Raptor than the YZ though so I may pick up another 1k kold Kutters this week.
One minor crash, washed the front end and slid into a tree

so she was at wickabog and you were at quaboag?
where were you told that you couldn;t plow? wickabog or quaboag?
I did notice on the westbrookfield website for wickabog that they do not allow "racing" on the ice . so I guess that means no plowing a track .
We have laid out a roadcourse type track a few years in a row now on wickabog, not too far from the boat ramp , how ever we never plowed it, but we also never saw a cop or ELE guy either.
Both times we were at quaboag we had a vist from the ELE. last year we didn't have the yellow plates on the xr70ies, he was nice enough to give us a warning, kicked us off the ice, we registered the next day .
Yesterday , he was there for roughly an hour as we riped the same track that we laid out , lap after lap, a couple hundred yards from the boat ramp, when we finally came back to the truck to take a break, he was leaving and gave a friendly wave. granted we didn;t plow though.

Sorry, we were at Wickaboag, and that is where they were told that they could not plow. Actually, the guy with the badge was friendly and simply asked that, if they were going to do that (plow a small track), they should go to the back of the lake. The following weekend, that is what they did, and nobody seemed to care. I can see why they would not want a track plowed, as the berms can get worked up pretty high, and you wouldn't want to hit one while you were going very fast on a sled.
I found out today that the EPO's showed up there later in the afternoon, after I had already left. Everybody I was with was registered so there were no problems, AFAIK.

I'll be out on gorhom probably both days this weekend. I met a guy at work that lives right on the pond, and offered to plow the track for me or to let me use the plow for it anytime he's not around. Score me.
I also have a spare bedroom at my place that anyone is welcome to any weekend.
I went out and plowed on thursday. It's fuckin SOUPY. It's going to be more of a supermoto course with jumps and stuff once the slush I plowed clears away. I got the quad stuck and had to detach the plow and make a runway out there first. Then I hooked the plow back up and prayed. I made it but there is at least a foot of slush and then the foot of snow on top of it.
The track should freeze up nice. I had it down to bare ice and water pockets.
I'd say let's shoot for sunday for sure. It's suppsed to be 35 ish friday and 30ish saturday. Sunday back down below freezing.

Depending how cold it is maybe I'll head up and check it out in the morning.
All of the guys, (Nick, Dan, Adam, Jay, etc.) are there right now (saturday the 24th) practicing for the races tomorrow. I might show up later on...If you see a blue DRZ-S, that's me. You can not see the track from the beach, as it is very far towards the back of the lake. I am sure you will be welcome to rip around!
