We never really did a 'course' though either. And it was always just 4-wheelers. But the surfaces of both lakes stayed pretty clean & solid enough for rippin' it up. And it's pretty easy to get from one lake to the other, we're pretty much sandwiched between the two...
Even after the heavier snowfalls we'd just wait a coupla days for the sleds to pack it all down. After those few days, the surface was usually smooth enough to not hafta bother cleaning it up. The most off-road plowing I did was keeping the path down to the lake clean in my backyard...
