Chip, got any contact info for LDA? Looking to try these tires out this year. I found an e-mail from a website but no response in over a week
did you try to give them a ring?

Just got off the phone with Bryan at LDA. We talked for a while and settled on the 300's with the normal compound for my purposes. $137 shipped for a front and rear and I should have them in 3-4 days. He was super easy to deal with.

i need a new rear soon. hmm...

I'm very impressed with my VR 300 rear. I'll be buying them again.

Chapparel, I may have bought tubes as well, I don't recall

finally grabbing some new sneakers... can't decide if i want to run the Tractionators again (still love 'em) or try the Terrapactors this time, lighter MX tire, my bike is tiny. keep looking at the Vee's too. hmmm. gonna pull the trigger today.

yeah, the pricing on the Vees is kinda too hard to pass up.
my Motoz have been wearing really well but starting to chunk in the rocks and feel a little hard this season. i was really impressed with their performance last weekend with ZERO air pressure in the rear though. i could have ridden the rest of the day but was able to patch the tube with borrowed tools and get back out there.
pretty great to only feel a tiny bit squishy with no air. almost unnoticeable in the rocks but felt it on a straight.

that's kinda what I'm experiencing but this is my 4th season with them on!
think it's because my bike is small. tire is a little overkill for it. which is why the Terrapactor has me interested. weight.

I don't know how up to date you are with the J-Day series but i know that Kyle Hangos, one of the fastest people in the JDay series ran the Vee GNCC tires last race and claimed to like them, not sure if hes sponsored and has to say that or not but if its true and hes running the speeds he is on them then i would think they would work for anyone but looking at that link i just posted it seems like the Vee may wear quick. I got about 25 hours out of my MotoZ and do not doubt if i hadn't screwed them this winter they would be good to go another season!
Corey
yeah, i remember reading that review, thanks. interesting point on the wet. hmmm. mud and sand make me hesitant.
not up to date on JDay racers but like Mark's comment, i don't think it matters what the fast guys have on, if there are tires on the rims, they're rippin'
i'm no A (or B) rider but feel like i don't putt around either, the Motoz have def worn very, very well. shit, they're not even that bad right now, they just feel different so time to swap.

The sticky version is a 140 compound. The 300 is the same gncc tackee labeled sneaker, but with the "harder" compound.
Which is still pretty sticky, when compared to your usual knob.
I just had my first good whip on a vee tt this past week. Wheely city on the rocks.
The 300 is my go-to race tire. I will run the tt if it's gonna be a (mostly) dry, and non sandy course.

It's decent. I've had the Dunlop and the Pirelli tt before also. I would never buy the Pirelli again (delaminated after 3 rides), and the dunlop was fine.
This is just as good. Like all vees, I think this likes a little higher pressure, for whatever reason.
I run 15psi in the knobs. I went out with 13 in the tt, and I think I'll bump it up.
It seems counterintuitive, but that's how these tires work best.
