The more I look at the melted area, the more I think drop is right just by the way the plastic melted. The rubber plug must have been loose and eventually popped out and the bulb must have been resting on the plastic.

Glad I made the trip up. To bad I had to rush from work. To much going on, didn't go around meeting enough people. lol. Not to mention I had a MISERABLE ride home because my dumb ass forgot my clear shield. Took a june bug to the forehead on 495, ouch...

Glad I made it up though, looking forward to attenting more and meeting more people.

Hey Billy, You could try to plastic weld some extra plastic in there so you don't have to spend the money on a new light... it looks like it is just in the black part on the back. I'm pretty sure we could get that light back in there.

I just fixed a 6 inch crack in the headlight on my Civic because it was taking in water and blowing the bulb. I took the headlight out, heated it in the oven for 8 mins. took the light apart and plastic welded the crack cleaned, re-heat it and put it back together. it worked perfect and was easy as pie!

yea some weekend when it's shitty out I'm going to take the headlight off and see if I can fill in the gap with a couple ideas I have.

If you need a soldering iron, i have one that i use for plastic welding already when I went through my track plastics and fixed all the cracks.

let me know if you need it or need some help.

Dude, next time tell somebody?!? I carry a spare pair of clear safety glasses in my tail to donate to just this occasion. NESR has already had one tinted shield at night wreck, so I carry the glasses to help avoid another.

Yeah that was me Chuck... I was the first to get off the HW at the Bolton exit.

And yeah, that Popo was trying to be sneaky i think.... I saw him get on the Highway right after the construction zone and gave Billy the slow down hand gester. I think he saw the 5 bikes and just chilled in the right lane for a little bit to see if we'd blow by him, then he just pulled over to the breakdown lane.

BodyBagz almost got nabbed but he saw him just intime and scooted over to the right lane. Then that SUV went blowing by us and I thought for sure he was going to get nabbed but he didn't.
