They never took mine, so I'll give mine to my friend. Thanks for the offer though. I jumped from 93.48 two weeks ago @ sea coast to 107.51 after the tuning.

Were these gains realized on the same dyno?

No my base at RJ's was 95.82 but I changed the plugs and cleaned the filter for this run. I feel pretty confident that the dyno at sea coast would have produced the same #'s

Wow Jim some new plugs and an air filter can give you 15 horsepower? I should change my plugs.

Chris, you're pretty good at putting your foot in your mouth wheb you try to make me look dumb. I was saying the new plugs and clean filter gave me maybe 2hp fron the 93hp I got at seacost and the 95 base I got at RJ's. The rest if the hp gained was from tuning.

You dummy, but I still you

Getting a pcIII tune doesn't give you 12 horses

getting it tuned correctly and letting Roger do his magic can get you 12 horses easy.

thanks for backing me up Sheppo. i was honeslty hoping to hit 100hp, but almost flipped when i saw the chart. that's a massive gain for a 600 bike that's 6 years old

Not saying your chart doesn't say that. Just that dyno numbers don't always mean anything. Dynos will give you different numbers every day, and every dyno will give a different number. Don't put too much stock in any 'good' or 'bad' result. Look for a nice smooth torque curve and you've gotten what you wanted out of the tune.

1/4 mile times might be a better test as long as the rider was consistent...

Your bike would have to be running like complete shit beforehand to get a 10% horsepower gain out of a pcIII tune.

If you compare the map I downloaded from the dynojet website and the map from my dyno tune the HP numbers are practically the same, just the a/f ratio post-tune is leaned out to closer to optimum, and the torque curve is much smoother.

chris, if you recall, my bike was running like complete shit before. the pipe was always black & people could smell the fuel. look at the air/fuel graph on the sea coast dyno chart. it was all over the place.
