I bailed from work early and found virtually nobody at the Yamaha truck. So I just kept signing up for 'one more' go 'round. Test rode the Bolt R (it sucks, like really bad), the Stratoliner Deluxe (way nice) and the Stratoliner S (my fav). After jumping off a 113 ci monster of a luxo cruiser my V-Strom felt like a play thing.. and I was reminded my brakes suck. Really need to address that.

And I am infamous. The Yamaha guys took a break between rides at one point and I started BS'ing with the only other two guys there test riding. Somehow something came up. The guy stands back and says "NESR?! Black V-Strom?! You must be 'bubba'."

Fun day/evening. Let's do this again sometime. Maybe next week?!

I test rode these. And one I forgot to take photos of, the Stratoliner S.. basically benchmarks the Road King me thinks. I got them to take the windscreen off and rode it nekid. 3 runs around scenic north-east Lowell. There were only three of us riding when I was there, rows of 'open' bikes. Sorry to all you working stiffs not playing hooky.
