After leaving Chinese last night Mark V and I headed east on 110. Came across an accident scene. Road blocked off. Had to detour. Just found out two bikers were killed. Not good

Crazy night last night. I was stuck behind a couple of slower riders going east on 110 around that time 9;30 or so. We had squidly types passing us on the left and right at speed. That usually dosen`t bother me but the riders doing the passing were in groups of ten or twelve bikes and it was pretty unerving and as it turns out ,dangerous. Too bad because it was a good night of fun night with a real sad ending. I live in Wilmington but don`t think know the rider . RIP
i know (alberto) the rider that got hit by the wilmington guy. so sad to see him full of life last night and 10 mins later he is gone. i seen all the cops and heard it was a motorcycle accident and was praying it was nothing serious, never mind knowing the person and actually seeing him just minutes before that. im crushed.
So sorry for the loss of your friend!

We were very saddened to hear about the tragic accident that happened Tuesday night on Rte 110 and we send our deepest sympathy out to Alberto's family. We don't believe that we knew Alberto personally but he's a fellow rider and that hits all of us hard.
Everyone that rides takes a chance each time we swing our leg over the bike. Most of us have the sense to always ride safely and more important smartly. Unfortunately there are too many people that ride that aren't smart about it and cause unfortunate events like this to happen.
The rider that caused this tragic accident was obviously not using good judgement and now he and others had to pay the price for that.
The fact that Alberto, his brother and a friend had just left Motorcyclenight was a coincidence, a very unfortunate one, but it was a situation where they all ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's awful to think this way, but the reality is that we all know it could have been anyone heading home from anywhere.
Just like our moms have always told us - "you always have to watch out for the other guy, just because you are a good driver, it doesn't mean the other one is."
RIP Alberto and our thoughts are with your family.

It's very sad, and all I'll say is please continue to be vigilent, as some have already stated, there were a lot of groups of bikes passing at high speeds.
My father in law mentioned two groups of at least 10 bikes per group were passing him (doing speed limit) after the bridge where it merges back to one lane. He had to drive in the breakdown lane just to get out of their way...
Not that necessarily anyone on here does it, but please be mindful of other traffic on 110... There are places that are 35 mph and I know better than anyone the dangers of that road to cars as well as bike....
