    Re: June 4th

It's nice to start getting to know people for real. The internet is what it is, and serves as a form of communication, but it's extremely one-dimensional, and we're all very different and much more complete in person.

I plan to show up to this regularly. It's conveniently on my way home from work. And it's great to see a bunch of bikes, chat with some bikers, show off my scruffy Duc, and eat an adequate Chicago Dog.

A proper Chicago Dog, as I learned it, starts with a poppy seed bun and a hot dog. You then add mustard, sweet pickle relish, chopped raw onions, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, celery salt, and (optional) sport peppers. It's delicious. The Heritage Farm version uses a regular bun instead of poppy seed, chops the tomatoes, and uses sweet pickle slices instead of the dill pickle. This (especially the last one) is why it it is an adequate Chicago Dog rather than a great one. But it's still pretty good.

The stands in Terminal C at O'hare set the bar for a Chicago dog. IMHO....!!!

Supposedly the new owner's last name is 'Lin'. I suspect change will not be that drastic.
