    Friends/Family at track days?

Just curious because this is the first time I've done one, and a couple people want to come with me. Tony's website says people can come but I'm just wondering exactly where they are allowed to be... like if they have to sit somewhere where I won't be able to be in contact during the entire day or what? Just lookin for a few specifics.. thanks

Your family/friends are allowed to attend the track day to watch you. My wife and son went to the one I attended. They are allowed in the garage area with you. Adults are allowed in the pit area, children are not. Children must be supervised by and adult when you are on the track. NO-ONE is allowed outside the fence except the riders, (adults allowed in the pit area). All this will be explained at the track. Your food at the track day is part of the cost. Guests are I believe $5 per. So have them pack a lunch if you don’t want to spend the money.

    Jim

    Friends/Family at track days?

    Yup!
They just have to sign in at the front gate (like everyone else) and come on in. My parents came to a trackday I did (Mom really needed to understand. Now she knows and is more cool about it. i.e. still a little freaked out. ) just make sure to let them know about the fence rule. Dad saw an opening and a guy standing over there in a great place to get video... only it was inside the fence and "That guy" was a corner worker.
    $5 for lunch.
Make sure they go to a differant corner each session! They should see as much of the track as possible!!!

i have. some friends of mine have been turned away before and i didn't find out til a day later.

if they show up with you... in the am... no problem at all.

if its later in the day, i think it depends on who's working the gate and how nice they are feeling.. my friends were told it was a private "no spectator" event.

I've never had a problem like this. I often stop by track days on my way home from work to see if anyone's still around that I know. Give 'em a hand packing up, etc. I've never even been questioned about WHY I was there. Just sign in, get my stamp, and away I go...
