Well then.
60 min - $150 - TSMP
80 min - $195 - NJMP
120 min - $495 - Palmer
Once Noel wakes up (he's probably in bed since 6:30, having gone to Early Bird Special around 5) and comments on my interpretation of Palmer, certainly TSMP seems like the better value...despite my urge to drive Palmer due to its elevation.

Back to two wheels.
I raced USCRA at canaan last year. I LOVE that little track. very smooth, a semi-banked long straight with a dog leg, a sweeping corner or two, a tight chicane and a blind left -hander to an off camber exit. It has it all.
I got to ride Tamworth last year also. That track is absolutely stunning. One of my favorites ever, but alas maybe no bikes any more there.
Palmer is on my list for this year.
I don't fancy Thompson.
For all around experience, I still rate VIR as my number 1 track. The hotels, garages, weather and pub onsite make it all worth the long trip for me. YMMV
NYST, Palmer, and NJMP are on the list for this year. Maybe VIR too. I was actually thinking about booking some of my TDs already. C y'all at the track fellas.

Thompson is just meh. Sure, it's track time, but I wasn't thrilled with it when I did it. It's too bad TTD relies on it so heavily in their rotation, IMO. 50%. I mean, it's another track and all, but is on the same level as NHMS, with NHMS having more of nostalgia for me.
I'd like to try NYST this year. Maybe drive the possible RV down. Could plan out to have one or two of y'all come along, sleep in the AC at night. Certainly takes care of the "lack of close accommodations" aspect out of NYST.
Totally into Canaan from what I've heard. That'll happen. Would also consider being on a race team. I'm no Pawleeedee, but I can get around a track. Once again, the RV would make that into one hell of a weekend.
Palmer I enjoyed, I'll do that again most likely. Close enough to day trip it.
VIR? Never been. That's a LONG drive for a couple days. Rather just Deal's Gap it for a week. Or do a combo week? That could work....
Got so much vacation to use this year, may as well start figuring this shit out.

I haven't been to NYST in a while.. but last time I was there parking was at a premium. May not be gargantuan RV friendly.
But you should ride that place. Soon.
You should definitely race USCRA. :-)
The whole "pit" area down below at NYST has really effed up grade and it can be a total PITA to put bikes on stands and warmers up etc. when you are at such a steep angle. They have no PA system either so when you are down in the pits it can be a bit hard to keep track of delays, crashes, etc.
So yes, definitely get to NYST early evening on Friday if you want to get a good spot on flat pavement near activity.
