Just to reinforce what's been brought up... Carl's dates are a school, not a general track day with optional classroom instruction. Sure, you could do Carl's to satisfy that track day itch. However, you'd be missing out on a lot of stuff.

Carl's dates have a generally lower number of students and a high level of instructors. One on one instruction is a given and no brainer. You can latch onto or grab an instructor for nearly every lap you turn.

I believe Carl also handles the instruction and license certification for USCRA.

Plus, I've seen Carl take plenty of family, friends and students out for 2 up rides. I'm a firm believer in this. There is no better way to get people exited about the sport than to get them out there. The biggest smiles I've ever seen have been on the faces of people just in from a 2 up track ride. It doesn't matter if it's Carl, Eric or Jeff. A few laps = fans and supporters for life.

If he brings her, DON"T TOUCH HIS SHEEP!!! Just sayin'

The man takes constructive criticism like a pro, even if some of it is without merit. When he says he wants to make his school better, and make sure attendees get the most out of the school, he's not kidding.

Although calling people while you're on your honeymoon... that's a bit over the top Carl.

You must be one of the ones I called from the Philippines when I got married. My phone rings just like I am here when I am half way around the world. Hi-tech is a wonderful thing. The big problem is the 12 hours difference in time. I usually rings when I am in bed with my wife. I am usually busy then.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up and save $50 for my school. You can sign up at www.CarlsTrackDays.com. I hope to see some of you there this summer. Even on race days, come introduce yourselves to me.

    Re: CarlsTrackDays.com

I have made a very hard decision today. I have a new job and will be in Asia a lot this summer. I am also planning on my wife getting here in a few months. Between the two things I have decided not to have my school at Loudon this summer. Not easy for me because I love to teach the school and will miss it. I am planning to try to re-open it next summer if all goes well at the new job. I will be returning all pre-entries by check. I will still be helping Eric Wood with his school and his racing this summer so will see many of you at the track. Hope you will rejoin our school next year.
Thank you all for your attending our school days in the last years.
    Carl

Carl, first, congrats on your new job, whatever that may be. Depending on where you'll be in Asia, can I get you to sneak some parts back in your carry on luggage for me? : )

Second, has anyone been tapped to run a race licensing program for the USCRA this year?

    Re: CarlsTrackDays.com

My new job involves installing and repairing oiling equipment in steel mills. All of asia is my territory. For an old man like me to get a good new job is not easy and I want to do well for at least the first year. Right now I am going to PLC school and learning about motor controls and pumps. We use hi voltage in the oil and a negative charge in the steel to apply it. The good news for me is that I can bring my wife with me on most of the jobs in Asia. I just can not bring her into the USA yet. Most of the jobs are 7 to 10 days on location and it will be nice to have her with me.

I will be at the track most race weekends and am planning to do some teaching as well. I will let you know on here my plans but can probably get you a USCRA license this summer.
