Ahh lol well the straight at Tamworth is pretty long, almost a Km IIRC, so yea prob not a good idea on a motard

Going to guess with the significant initial investment prices people are looking to protect their outlay of cash and being able to transfer does just that. Doesn't seem to specifically rule out track related incidents so why not.

I'll tell you after the 19th. I am running up there on my motard, plan to run the main straight somewhere less than wfo, the rest of the track looks great - super wide!

And just to be clear, the way the ordinance is written you can't operate a hair dryer anywhere on the property at any time.

    http://luckdragon.falcorweb.net/serv...noiseord05.pdf

It would be interesting to see if the town can legally regulate a "Private Driving Instruction andExhibition Facility" much more severely than any other type of facility within the town.

It seems they wrote this regulation knowing it could not possibly be met (69 dBA). From Comparitive Examples of Noise Levels | Industrial Noise Control, here some examples of sound levels in the 70s:

Passenger car at 65 mph at 25 ft (77 dB); freeway at 50 ft from pavement edge 10 a.m. (76 dB). Living room music (76 dB); radio or TV-audio, vacuum cleaner (70 dB).

    Re: Club Motorsports Grand Opening

I'm sure they wrote it on purpose trying to use it to stop the track in the first place.

The claim that they can hear the track over heavy machinery is laughable. Actually, pretty much everything they've said is laughable minus the quotes on leaving people alone and the fact the highway is louder.

Anyone have quality noise measuring equipment? How loud does a voice have to be to trip 70db? Show up at one of the meetings, wait till the discussion amps up...

    But it's loud...............

"there's "no possible way" the track could be in compliance with the ordinance. She said they allow spectators, and spectators like noise."

Is this a serious statement? They should have been told to leave once that came out of their mouth.

69 decibels is nothing. I have a meter on my desk and this is just ludicrous.
The way the EPA does industrial metering is that the facility cannot increase ambient noise by over something like 3dB AT THE PROPERTY EDGE.
this statute is a pile of BS and it would be thrown out in court. They are singling out one industry, this isn't a blanket law. 69dB would eliminate most outdoor activities should it have to be wide spread.

Hence the comment that the whole ordinance could be overturned. They're grasping at straws trying to make life miserable for the track and/or are looking for a payout to go away.

I’m saying group buy with lifetime membership, Who’s in?
Sorry I was on the pot when I made this reply..

My intention was for a group buy of all the bitching post menopausal dried up and loveless spinsters property around this place. Then we can become a nation of our own with sound levels to be a minimal of 100 db with no maximum while a parade of SOA wannabes ride up and down the town.

I get a noise complaint but WTF really it's in a FUCKUING Mountain Literally in a mountain.
