T3 in the dry
Ran off in 9 at speed but didn't go down. Does that still count?

T1a (went too wide around the outside of someone in 1, hit the curb)
T2 (cold, started raining just before I arrived, lost the rear on my way out)
Start/Finish line (got clipped from behind on the start, scariest of the 3 and the one that hurt most)

Turn 6-twice, 3 & 2. Plus innumerable run offs in nearly every turn. Here's a look at my first crash in 6. It seems like only yesterday...
Face down huh? That must have been fun
pretty much.
But seriously... I'd be willing to bet my own twig & berries that you made a 2nd steering input to help trigger that lowside. If you watch that video seconds before the crash and you put your finger where the horizon meets the edge of the screen, you'll see the horizon go up a split second before you lost the front. That indicates to me that you added a steering input just before you lost traction... Where you went down you should be done turning, rolling back to neutral throttle and ready to start standing the bike back up. It seems to me that while you may not have been off the gas, you were still turning.

I've had just two track day crashes since 2004... the first I blame on inexperience (damp conditions, spun the rear, tank slapper, went off track at my 2nd track day). The other I blame on a moment of weakness and a lack of clarity (late in the day, decided to get some hot laps in while trying a new line on cold tires... dummy)

1,1A,6 and after 7??
ok so one of them was at the races but it was only the rookie race. so it doesn't count as in a race.
hell I can beat that. I crashed in the garage. locked the front and tucked it. the VT douches sat there laughing at me instead of helping me pick it up. I don't blame them, I deserved it.

Actually it counts double if it's a rookie race .
Guess I need to crash just to fit in...it won't take long, don't worry.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
how many of you that crashed rode up and how many trucked up?

20+ trackdays, I rode to every one, rain or shine, with tools and spare levers. But you're right, not many people do it anymore. There's still not much chance of crashing if you focus on incremental learning, patience and staying relaxed instead of trying to go fast.
It was a worthwhile adventure, and I proved it could be done...but I bought Paul_E_D's trailer before Christmas so the ride and prep will be easier this year!
