    • T2 entry during downpour at a trackday (street tires), too fast, too cocky, hamfisted turn in
    • T1 entry in the rain (on rains), with a lot of help

I see more than one bnar input before your crash. In turns 2 and 11, where there is rough to smooth pavement changes, that will bite you in the ass if you're at lean and you add additional input. Ask me how I know.

Are you serious about not coming back? Slippery wet pavement qualifies as a reason. That spot is notorious and is something we always point out on a rainy day.

Just for the record....(for those contemplating trackdays.)

Many of the crashes and almost all the many-turn crashes reported here are associated with racing and not trackdays

As shown by this thread, crashes easily happen. I wouldnt take a streetbike back. Its just too pricey if you go down and its too easy to go down. I was looking into bringing my supermoto up, because I dont care if I lay it down, but it just doesnt have the top end. Ill stick to my car. So yeah, I guess Im serious, I didnt really enjoy the experience much at all.

Valid point. Only takes one time to make a person sour. But at the same time the track can be a blast when conditions are ideal.

you're letting one bad experience get you down. give it another shot before you totally write it off. all of my crashes were at track days not races. never once has the thought of giving up crossed my mind. I bet most in here would say the same thing despite broken bones, concussions, scrapes, bruises, etc.

Yeah. If it were me I would give it another shot. I'd hate for someone to go to the track and not get the same experience that many others have received. But yes. A track only bike is a great option. And nothing against the RC, but they are pigs.

There are plenty of people who never crash at a trackday. They just aren't represented in this thread. In my nearly 100 trackdays, I have fallen once.

Anyway, xrocket ithink it would be worth another try. It's not as easy to crash in the dry. Not by a long margin.

    Re: crashes at loudon

Slow high side at 3. I was following too close to the rider in front of me and when the person in front of me surprised me by braking in turn, I locked the front and went over into the tires. Not a bad crash but still...my own mistake.

    Low side at 6.
First run in the afternoon session and did not allow my tires to get up to temp.

I've crashed three times at trackdays, out of at least 50 or 60, I blame you for one of 'em!

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Same here. Super sexy slow-motion fail from a complete standstill just outside the paddock.
