don't change the chain and leave the worn sprocket. worn sprocket will chew up the new chain.

    Re: foot peg

Putting the end of the footpeg between your toes and the ball of your foot works well on bikes whose footpegs are high enough. But if you're dragging toes at all, then you have to tuck your toe in all the way with your heel often resting on the heel guard or the swingarm.

Until recently, I've had the stock ZX6R rearsets and touched them only occasionally.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Kham you like to make simple things complicated don't you!

Get a 525 with Rivet style link (most name brand chains can take what ever you dish out, as long as you clean and lube it once and while).
Just hang with dbchromes he knows a thing or two about cleaning a chain!

Then have someone put it on for you.
    DONE.

    Re: foot peg

Considering how well you take care of your chains & sprockets, definitely stick with the 525 & use a rivet link

chain: DID 525 gold /w rivet master link

sprockets: AFAM or Sunstar 525 steel sprockets.

dont bother with 520 or aluminum sprockets

count your links on your current chain, many bikes have 112 links.
it depends on ordering your chain, since you can get 110 or 120 link chains.

before installing your chain, clean that white wax shit off the chain with kerosene and a nylon brush ($1 at home depot). i would also suggest wearing gloves when using kerosene.

    Re: foot peg

I ride a Buell XB9S with the standard 1" drop pegs in intermediate, and don't drag them. I used to when I first started tracking the bike, but have since adjusted my body position...

Looks WAY better...I was very scared by your first pic... But there's still a shitload of slack in there. And once you get your new one, clean it and lube it regularly!
